Isolated damaging wind gusts may occur with thunderstorms over the
mid Mississippi Valley late this afternoon.
...20Z Update...
Part of the general thunderstorm area has been trimmed behind the
cold front, but no changes have been made to the severe
probabilities. A strong storm or two remains possible along the
front later this afternoon, with the greatest relative risk of
isolated damaging gusts expected from southeast MO into southern IL,
where the most favorable overlap of buoyancy (MLCAPE approaching
1000 J/kg) and moderate deep-layer flow/shear is expected.
