that is true

A good question
Hi,
I have been reading with great interest the bulletins on these subjects,
and found them very interesting, and hard to pick a quote from, as All
were very valid in content, but I think the above comments and question
could reflect on all areas of packet in some way, and most operators on
packet.
One thing to consider I guess, is the generation changes of interests,
along with all that has been mentioned.
I'm quite new to packet and most of the subjects are new to me, but for
the operators that have been on these bands for many years, some subjects
must be to the stage of "Oh! not again". Perhaps it is time for some new
subjects. But what? And from whom? Perhaps the well has run dry.
Personally I am not tech. minded, and I struggled through that part so I
could have a call, because I am one who likes to communicate with others,
make friends, and learn about people and places, from around the world,
and everyone has a story to tell. I might add, I read some of the tech.
stuff, and even print out some of it hoping I can make something stick. I
could go to the net, but I don't like it.
So my main thing would be titles such as - Where I Live - What I Do -
Around the State I Live In, and that one could cover a multitude of
subjects. Some have touched on their hobbies, and other activities, only
to have it die, due to no response, and during that time I was reading,
but too frightened to post a bulletin for fear of being told off by
someone - I have been on just long enough to learn that it doesn't matter,
as that would be just the opinion of that person, and if it sparked some
bulls. it would generate activity anyhow.
The good news is that our BBS, that of vk7ax at Ulverstone in Tasmania is
growing, with a few new members getting going and eventually I hope,
become active contributors to packet in their own way.
The BBS stations through out the world are very valuable to this part of
our hobby, let us keep them busy, and if nothing else, this bulletin will
fill one little space.
Unfortunately we say goodbye to the BBS of zl3vml at the end of August, so
thank you to you for your valued service, and the time you have given to
packet etc.
