Hi Graham

Not an " Interpretation " from a book but my own actual brain as I remember
the case very well. "Shoot" or "Let him have it Chris" is near enough the
same.

Derek Bentley and Chris were on the roof of the building if you read further
into your book and some distance apart. Again from memory hence Derek Bentley
was "alleged" to have shouted the fatal words. Please note my word " Alleged "
as I was not there and would not be categorical about what was said or not
said at the time.  I was not the accuser !!. Only two police officers heard
the 
"Alleged" words and only one lived to make the statement.

The main reason for the SB was to correct G4XNH who was/were the last man/men
hanged in the UK AND my quote was from a book on the Web as I did not remember
that case/cases !!!..
