Hi Pete

Now why should I let a small thing like sending comments out on Packet Radio
about me, worry me. My comments were a fact and not snide in anyway.

The only contributors as far as I can see these days are Jeff G4XNH, Andy
GM7HUD and Andy G0FTD so who else is there to read them. All have made their
comments about me in the past so what else is there to say/add.

Pete G6KUI replied to a Help request as follows:-

} the best bet is for your friend to buy himself a copy of the
} callbook and sort it out himself instead of expecting others to do the
} donkey work for him.

Doing the so called "donkey work" is what I object to and still do..

Without those comments I would have said that your reply was helpful.

Mike G1ZRN asked a perfectly normal question and I and others gave Mike a
Perfectly normal answer to his " Help Question ".

No one else mentioned " Donkey Work " and "Expecting others to do it for him".

A perfectly reasonable request deserves/receives a Perfectly Normal Reply, so
I was taught in life and practice.

In fact looking for the name Richards in Wales is like asking for Jones,
Lewis, Williams, there are millions of them so even I knew that it was " A
shot in the dark " BUT it did not stop me from sending a Perfectly Reasonable
Reply.

Over the years I have received much help from Packet Radio on a variety of
problems AND not once did I ever receive a " Snide Reply ". Everybody was so
helpful I was just giving a little back.

Why cannot we all do the same.

It is not a lot to ask.

May I suggest that any replies be sent WW so that the rest of the Amateur
Radio Packet Network at World Wide can see how UK Radio Amateurs act in
childish and unhelpful ways and threatening to say things about me.

Remember as a child the following:-

" Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me "
