This will print out the size of a standard Postcard (6 inches x 4 inches).
Cut along the frame and save it just like a regular QSL card.

Hello Friend:

Thank you for reading this message. I've always wanted to make contacts all
over the world but did not want to spend the money on QSL cards plus the cost
of postage and then wait who knows how long for them to arrive.

Then I thought, why do we need the QSL card printers, the Postal Service and
the Bureau to do something we are perfectly capable of doing totally via
Packet Radio. And why aren't we promoting Packet Radio at a time when its
use is dwindling rapidly.

The PACKET CARD is solely a QUICK, EASY and FREE alternative to QSL cards,
which uses a totally PACKET mode of exchange. If you can read this message you
most likely can make and send a PACKET CARD freely. What is contained on the
card is only limited by your imagination and Amateur Radio Regulations. And it
can help to keep the Packet Network in tack and open up world wide exchanges
at a time when we really need them.

You've already got mine. You can do better. Give it a try.

Here is how to make your very own PACKET CARD:

*If your IBM compatable, go to your DOS EDITOR (edit.com) in DOS or
wherever you can write a simple letter and save it.

*It's important to keep all our PACKET CARDS a standard size for storage
so start out by making a line of 60 * across the top.

*Then counting the top line make 24 * down the left side.
This gives you an idea of how much room you have to work with.

*Now start filling it in with whatever you want the whole world to know
about you and/or where you live BE CAREFULL - DO NOT USE THE ENTER KEY
to go to the next line, use the arrow keys instead. Be as creative or as
simple as you like. Use Text, Art, even morse code. WHATEVER, you are
only limited by your imagination and Amateur Radio Regulations. Be sure
to include your name, callsign, packet address and location.

*After you have it filled in go to the right side and make your 24 * down
the right side BE CAREFULL - DO NOT USE THE ENTER KEY to go to the next
      line, use the arrow keys.

*Now your ready to finish the bottom line of 60 *

*Double check the count of 60 x 24. Waa Laa I knew you could do it!!!
DON'T FORGET TO SAVE IT!!! Print it out to make sure it looks the same
on paper as it does on the screen. Sometimes you'll have extra spaces
      that need to be corrected.

*If you don't feel that energetic feel free to edit mine with your
      information. I don't mind.

*To Send it to every CQ. Do the usual SR or SB thing and when you get the
prompt to write your message use your TNC command to read one of your
files (mine is :r <dir>\<filename> and it should spit it out. You can
add whatever message you like, then do the control z thing.

*I hope it catches on for everyone. Next time you see a CQ on your BBS
send them your PACKET CARD. If you don't have a printer save them to a
      file or disc.

                       IT'S QUICK, EASY, AND FREE!!!

I may or may not have already received one from your town but I haven't
received one from YOU!!! I hope to get one from YOU real soon!!!

73's de JERRY, KC7UNM

PS You can still send a QSL card if you insist. I won't tell if you don't
tell!! However I must tell you that ** I SEND ONLY PACKET CARDS **.
