Hello YLs and OMs,
Marco, IK1HSS asked for some information on the 7S6SAJ group.
The background of this LF expedition was obviously to get the old
transmitting facilities of the commercial station SAJ back on the air for one
weekend. According to Chris, SM6PXJ, they had a special license to use 1 kW
ERP (normally only 1 Watt ERP is allowed in Europe), and they obviously were
very close to that. The 210m high antenna of the old Karlsborg facility was
fed with 600 Watt! Here in JO52BH, their signal was constantly peaking to a
field strength of 40 dBuV/m (resulting in a signal strength of S9+15 dB!
I was fun to listen to them and to be able to work them, too. Hopefully,
someone has heard them on the other side of the Atlantic!
