Well, you take a ferrite loopstick, wind a few tens of turns of wire on it,
and tune it with a variable capacitor.

If your receiver has a high impedance input, connect it to this circuit.

If your receiver has a low impedance input, connect it to a few turns wound
over the loopstick coil.

If your circuit will tune only medium wave broadcast, add more wire.
It is very easy to hear the resonance peak.

There is a lot of difficult theory, but you don't need it and it doesn't make
any difference to the above.
