Hello lf fellows
this morning I heard several time I5MXX normally around 136.8 kHz but I
wasn't able to get a reply...
suddendly I heard a weaker signal but readable and the call seemed to be
LX1PD but (of course) I wonder because in this case he becames my really
first long distance hrd!
Can anyone (may be LX1PD himself) confirm my hrd?
I heard this CQ repeated several time on 136.50 kHz at 10.44 Z and I
spotted it on the Packet Cluster.
Also in this case I tried to get hom a call and probably he heard something
but conditions worstened ...
Equipment: TS950 and home made transverter (RX section based on the ZL3VN
project); the transmitter is pouring about 70W
RX ant: dipole for 160m about 45 to 35 m high (it's a folded inverted V)
TX ant: on the theory should be a folded unipole with top hat (the top hat
is my metal covered roof, and the folded unipole is a wire connected to the
roof dropping down to my apartment about 30 m below, the second arm of the
folded unipole is a ground bus grounding the roof) antenna impedance is abt
5 ohms plus an inductive reactance tuned out with a series cap and I can
measure a RF current of about 4A.
Thank for reading this report and for any ack or comment about it.
