Just to add to the confusion, Carr's "Secrets of RF Circuit
Design" has a chart (page 2 of the 2nd edition) that divides
the bands somewhat differently:

100  Hz -  10 kHz = ELF
 10 kHz - 100 kHz = VLF
100 kHz	-   1 MHz = LF
  1 MHz	-   3 MHz = MF
  3 MHz	-  30 MHz = HF
 30 MHz - 300 MHz = VHF
300 MHz -   1 GHz = UHF
  1 GHz -  30 GHz = SHF

A frequency chart from the US National Telecommunications &
Information Administration extends VLF from 1 Hz (!) up to
30 kHz, then follows the first chart.

But, yes, it sounds like anything above the tens-of-kHz
range should be LF, not VLF!
