Sheffield (UK) D-Star Repeater GB7SF is currently undegoing tests on
145.7375 Mhz using low power only. Initial switch on was at 13:26 UTC
Saturday 19th April 2008 with a max of 2 watts input power.

Funded by a small group of local amateurs, initial RF tests have been
undertaken and, although the power out is low, coverage appears to be
good.

We await the delivery of further cavities to isolate the Transmit/Receive
and hope to be up to full power soon. Steps have already been taken to
link the repeater to the D-Star Gateway, and the G2 software is currently
being loaded and tested. This should allow Sheffield Hams to participate
in the WW action !

Repeater keeper Steve M1ERS is very satisfied with progress at the present
time, and is eager to get the 'Regenerative Node' fully functioning.

All reports to Steve QTHR or M1ERS@GB7SYP.#19.GBR.EU
