6th March 1700 WADT - opening to VK5AKK
His signals 59 +15db - very strong. Mine 57 at his end. He runs 300 watts,
I was running 10 watts - did not turn on the amplifier as it was not
needed.
DISTANCE:2670 KM (1668 Miles)
The opening was obviously tropospheric as there was a big high in the
Bight and temperatures were relatively high (42C in Perth - about 35C in
Albany) - typical summer day.No sign of 6m - no Es around that I could
detect.
