I have had some time to look this site over-I want to impress the fact
that this is one of the most informative sites I have seen--So much info
has been made available and all with ONE click of the finger--NO LONG
NIGHTS OF SEARCHING. Know that I am still trying to find my way around
here so if I miss a question please contact me by e-mail.

Who am I what do I do??
I have been working with the Veterans since 1998 as a volunteer Veterans
Advocate.
I am typically called in on distressed claims or claims that are not
considered well grounded. Most of the claims I deal with are either under
review or going into appeals.
I am called upon to work with the unusual.

Example-
1.Of course Vietnam and AO-
2.AO locations OUTSIDE of Nam--AO in the
US-Thailand-Japan-PI-Guam--Hawaii-Johnston Atoll--Midway Island-Gulfport
big one-- and a host of other locations.

3.Korean War Veterans and their Biological exposures
4.Korean DMZ Veterans who served during other times outside of the
current approve 68-69 time line

5.NAVAL Veterans--this is a huge huge problem--they can't get their
claims through--but I have the info and answers relating to them-in fact
will be working with Cong-Evans regarding this group in Nov--we are
calling for a study by NAS based on a study I have been conducting and
this study will affect not on Naval Veterans but ALL Veterans as a
whole--I can't tell you how being this is--you will be hearing about it
soon--I am raisen heck over this--it also has much to do with
occupational exposures and is geared to assist Veterans who never served
in Nam but are ill. I am told by some DOD and a few other
Administrations are not looking forward to this and are a bit worked up
about the subjects I will be approaching--they have good reason to be
worked up.

5.Naval--Shad and more
Occupational exposure to toxic if not fatal chemicals Veterans were
required to use to complete their job tasks-
Shad --top secret--testing conducted on our veterans while in service.

7.Military Superfund sites where exposures certainly affected and caused
and still is causing illness many know little about. Over 26,000
government sites to include most military bases are on the list.

8.Study of the way contaminants travel in the Eco system and how
far--and I can assure you it is much further that the 40 little miles
most content.

9.Navy--Distillation on board ships:
About a year and a half ago a gal named Sue--whom I have deemed the
Naval Veterans LITTLE HOUND DOG--joined forces with me--she and I have
worked diligently in compiling new info that I believe will be helpful
in may of the difficult claims we have been confronted with. I have
studied Occupational Exposure since 98-about 2 years ago I started
looking at Distillation and Co-distillation on board ships. This when Sue
and I began exchanging info and researching further into this subject.
KNOW THIS naval Veterans--during the distillation proc. on board ships
was not capable of purifying the sea water you took on for
distillation--in fact the sea water not only had AO contamination but
also cross contamination due to a host of other chemicals. Now--know
that in the distillation equipment there are copper tubes that the water
travels thru--I know I am not tell you anything you don't already know
but --the copper tubing acted as a catylist to the dioxin causing it to
be ENHANCED- it was then stored and you then drank it and more--the
report indicate that your exposures were twice that than those who
served in country.
Also know that Naval Veterans have a 58% higher rate of illness than ALL
other branches put together. For all of you--understand that the Naval
Veterans were quietly and pretty much written out of the law about two
years ago

10.I also specialize in illness NOT on the presumptive list.
Most of those in the system that work hard to turn their heads or play
down our veterans exposures or who study the subject that write reports
which dis-allow our veterans assistance think very little of me--I
challenge them and put them to task.

11.I take pride in knowing the law is not black and white and has
gaps--I find the wholes and dive in for the benefit of the
Veteran--NOTHING is etched in stone. Since 98 I have lost one
claim--which is now under appeal and I can assure you at some point we
will win it too.I do not give up as long as the Veteran works with me
hangs in there then we got it going on.

Who am I -- am the daughter of a Fallen Vietnam Veteran who served 20
years in the AF and the sister of a Ret/SR Chief Naval Veteran who
served for 22 years. Both were Vietnam Veterans both have illnesses
relate to their service. My Dad died in 98 and I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM
FOR OUR LOSS. Selfish--YEP!!
I miss him so much EVERY DAY. He was my hero!!!!

I will forever be devoted to our Veterans. I am passionate and obsessed
with our Veterans. I love them dearly and consider them a very unique
breed. They matter--and because of them I have been priveledged to live
a good life full of liberties many take for granted. I owe them my life
and this is the least I can do to repay all that they have provide me,
my family and my country

My battle with the system began many years ago--I was just to young to
understand how our military life would impact my life today. The system
picked the wrong little girl to mess with. When they took my dad the war
was waged--they chose to pick the fight-I chose to take it on.

My dad always taught us that there were two families we could always
count on--ours, mom dad my brother and my extended family--YOU--our
military family.

While some may consider me harsh-I say it is determination to force the
powers that be to take responsibility for the lives and families they
destroyed.

I am happy to share anything I have that could help a Veteran.

Taura
