hi all !

i will ask this question in the unix-board, as i think, it is
more unix related than wampes. but maybe, there is somebody out
with an other plattform, had the same problem solved and can
give some tips for me.

the environment: i have running solaris 2.5.1 on sparc from sun
and the latest version of wampes.
i can "connect" to remote node and can use "telnet" and the other tcp/ip
commands within the "net"-commandline to a remote box
without any problems.

now i want to use telnet from the unix shell or other
programms, like netscape or so.
i think, i have to setup an interface within unix, which must
carry the default route in future time.

but how to do this, setting up an interface ?
i tried to setup a second loopback-interface lo0:1 and as i have
installed isdn 1.0.4 i can plumb an addition "ifppp"
but never a got status "up" within wampes.

i can successfully attach for example /dev/ttypf, but this is
- so i think - more for non-ip connectivity.

so what to do now ? do i have to setup any public domain
ppp-driver for serials lines ? or should it be slip ? as
only speaking about slip in wampes-docu.

would be nice to give me any information for next steps
i have to do.

best regards from vienna

p.s.: linux users will maybe use the ax.25 kernel, but this is
      not available on solaris ( sun-os 5.5 )
