Are you running UI-View "as administrator"?

If you can't even get UI-View to talk to a KPC3 the problem is likely
not "TT4-specific". The strange thing is you say the TT4 and the KPC3
work fine in a terminal program.

If you can communicate with the TT4 and KPC3 in a terminal program, the
problem isn't likely because of the USB to serial adapter.

Check the com port settings in UI-View... correct com port, 8 data bits,
1 stop bit, no parity and the "baud" rate. In the case of the KPC3,
select KISS and SETUP and click on KAN. Does the TT4 need any
commands to put it in KISS mode? My understanding is that you load
the KISS firmware ahead of time. however, if you can't even get the
KPC3 going...

Don't forget that dchristensen70 said he can't even get a KPC3 going in
UI-View. I don't think he has a TT4 specific problem.

Are you using the basic KISS firmware, or the new alpha multifunction
firmware?
