UIV32/APRS NEW EU PARADIGM
==========================
M0CYP/WB4APR are reminding all of us that as of 8 November 2008 the
American Paradigm except frequncies is to be used in EU. RELAY WIDE TRACE
are no longer acceptable and will be ignorded by digipeaters. The
recommendations are:

1.APRS,WIDE7-7 Fixed.
2.W1-1,W3-3 Mobile where W=WIDE

For the last six months ive been trialling this in Britain and in France
with excellent results and even better if you SmartBeacon(TM). Ideally
when you are stationary the Beacon stops causing less congestion to
bandwidth however when running the digipeater will run with you and in a
well covered area your every turn can be monitored as you make it.

Home stations on the coast will note that Merchant Marine and coastguard
are digipeating via the station. Good luck.
Best wishes/Meilleurs sentiments/73,
de Rog.
