Whats this UIV32/APRS? an alternate APRS or something?

It's APRS as per authored by Bob Bruninga (SP?) and UIV32 is a nice single-OS client of it, with some modifications that others don't use. I've used it in the past but frankly I use Xastir and have done for some years now. I'd recommend it. (www.xastir.org).

I've seen no lowering of traffic here - I get a view of the West Mids and sometimes traffic isn't so much when some or other node fails for a while.

I'm curious of these lorry drivers using paid-for (or stealing free) access to wifi, but is there *that* much coverage in the UK where wifi-hopping works?

I don't believe in talking our country down myself, were up against enough competition from outside.
