Hello friends,

from July 1st to 20th Uli (as LA/DK2BJ/P) and me (Norbert, as LA/DK5WO/P)
will be qrv from Southern Norway on 50, 144 and 432 MHz. Our qth will
be in JO37NX and we are planing to activate some further squares in the
neighbourhood. We are thankful and happy to be invited by the LA7M contest
group to take part in the VHF/UHF/SHF-Contest on July 1st and 2nd from
JO37SX.

From our holiday residence in JO37NX and from some portable locations
around, our TRX equipment will be an ICOM-706 using SSB, CW and MS.

 50 MHz: 100 watts, 2 elements
144 MHz: 180 watts, 9 elements
432 MHz: 100 watts, 20 elements

As to our knowledge JO37 is unreachable using VHF/UHF-Packet Radio,
skeds can be made by GSM mobile phone. Or does anybody know a
packet radio link from central Europe to southern Norway? As we will
buy a Norwegian GSM prepaid card, the phone number will be published
in the packet net in the beginning of July.

Hope to meet you on the bands,

best 73's

Norbert, DK5WO.
