The 1998 edition of YO VHF/UHF/SHF contest will be in 4/5 july.
Rules for the contest:
Period: 04 july 14.00 utc to 05 july 14.00
Bands: all amateur radio bands above 144 Mhz, except 3400 Mhz.
Excange: RS(T) + serial number + QTH WW on each band.
Categories: - A single op 144 Mhz.
- B single op 432 Mhz.
- C single op 1296 Mhz.
- D single op multiband (144, 432 & 1296 Mhz).
- E multi op multiband (144, 432 & 1296 Mhz).
- F SHF/EHF regardless number of operators.
Score: 144 - 1 point/km
432 - 5 points/km
1296 - 10 points/km
For multiband categories, the final score is the sum of scores on each band, no multiplier.
For SHF/EHF category, the sum of points on each band will be multiplied by the following factor:
2,3 Ghz-1; 5,7 Ghz-3; 10,3 Ghz-6; 24 Ghz-9; 47 Ghz-12; 76 Ghz-15; 145 Ghz-18; 241 Ghz-21. The final score for SHF/EHF is the sum of the points on all bands.
Prizes: Stations on the first place in each categoriy will receive the title of "International Champion of Romania" and awards for first 10 stations. Also , Romanian Amateur Radio Federation have a special prize for station placed on the first place in c
ategories D and E. FOR 1997 EDITION THE PRIZE CONSIST IN A FULL WEEK IN ROMANIA SUPORTED BY FRR AND THE WINNER WAS HG5FMV AT MULTIOP MULTIBAND AND YO5BLA AT SINGLE OP MULTIBAND. THE SAME PRIZE IS ALSO FOR 1998 EDITION OF TYHE CONTEST, WINNERS OF D AND E C
