              ALPE - ADRIA UHF/SHF CONTEST RULES 1997


1.DATE IN TIME:
     Sunday in the third full weekend in June every year;
     07.00 - 17.00 UTC
     (Note: 1998 - June 21st).

2.BANDS AND MODES:
     UHF/SHF bands (432 MHz and all others bands above)
     CW, PHONE (A1A, J3E, F3E)

3.CONTEST SECTIONS:
     Section A - only 432 MHz
     Section B - only 1,2 GHz
     Section C - 2,3 GHz and 5,7 GHz
     Section D - 10 GHz and higher frequencies
No  subdivision  will  be beetwen single and multi  operators  and
fixed and portable stations in any sections. One station may  take
part to more sections and the prizes are accumulated.

4.MULTIPLIERS:
     432 MHz - 1km = 1 point
     1,2 GHz - 1km = 1 point
     2,3 GHz - 1km = 1 point
     5,6 GHz - 1km = 5 points
     10 GHz - 1km = 1 point
     24 GHz and above - 1km = 20 points

5.ENTRIES AND LOGS:
All the entries from Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia must  be
send  the  logs (including summary sheets) to their  own  national
contest  manager or association. Participants from other countries
have to send logs for year 1997 to ARI UDINE!

All  the  entries  from other countries must send logs  (including
summary  sheets)  to  ZRS (to organizer of the  contest  for  year
1998).  All  logs must be send within 15 (fifteen) days  from  the
contest  date  in  order  to qualify. The postmark  date  must  be
anterior to the 15 day after the contest day. The log form must be
as  those  of  the  IARU  REGION I.  standard  log  (if  possibile
calculate  with calculator or computer. PC AT/XT ASCII  logs  (EDI
format) on standard disks will be appriciated).

You must recived confirmation for recived electronical logs, 
otherwise send the logs by normal post way!

6. JUDGING OF ENTRIES:
Any error in the QSO-data (CALL, UL, NR RCVD) determines the 
canceling of that QSO.

7. PRIZES
The  organizer of the contest (1997 - ARI Udine/IV3, 1998 - ZRS/S5, 
1999 - OeVSV Karenten/OE8, 2000 - HRS/9A, 2001 - ARI Udine/IV3 ...) 
will award a prize to the first three entries of every section of 
the contest.
