                           Azores  -  Portugal
        From 24 of July to 31 of July of 1996, the VUSHF team of
        Aveiro University Ham Club ( ARUA ) in association with the
        Azorean Ham Club (CRA) will be QRV for tests in 50/144/432
        Mhz from HM58 in Faial Island.
        The callsign will be CU7VHF.
        We will made tests in Tropo, Esporadic E, MS, TEP and Sattelite
        comunications (AO-10 & AO-13). The coordination and operation
        will be done by CU7BC (Marco), CT1FAK (Rui), CU7AO (Vitor) and
        CU7BGA (Orlando).
        All activity will be in random, except in MS. In MS, we accept
        schedulles between 25 of July and 30 of July from 06 UTC to 10 UTC.
        The mode of operation in MS probably will be SSB.
        Also, during all this tests, we install definitibly in Faial Island
        a 144 Mhz beacon with 15 Watts, at a +- 1000 mts ASL, beaming
        Europe. The beacon call will be CU7VHF.
        The equipment will be :
        50 Mhz :      DL6WU design Yagi with 12 dB gain
                      ICOM IC-706  100 W 
        144 Mhz :     FT-736R 
                      Linear Solid State 200W
                      GaAsFET pre with 0.8 dB NF
                      Converter 144Mhz to IF 28Mhz 0.8 dB NF
                      JRC HF Rig in 28 Mhz & KENWOOD 440
                      Filters DSP for CW Operations
                      Antennas :  2 Yagis array DL6WU design
                                  with 18 dB gain
        432 MHz :     TM-455E
                        
                      GaAsFET Preamplifier by CT1DMK .8 dB NF
                      Antennas :  2 Yagis array DL6WU design
                                  with 20 dB gain
                 
                                  
        For MS Schedules we will be QRV soon in VHF NET in 14.345 Mhz
        Also during all the tests, we will be in 14.345 Mhz.
        We try to listen something from East cost of EUA if we
        can arrange a schedule with a 144Mhz station with a good
        EME setup.
