Hi Sten, aliens, and all,
First perhaps I should explain to the tin foil hat crowd that UFO stands for
UNIDENTIFIED Flying Object, those you call flying saucers are IFOs,
IDENTIFIED Flying Objects. Now that we have that straight (Or do we?)......
Since those space people have the technology to get here, what interest
besides studying a primitive and curiously self destructive life form would
they have in us? If they might come to conquor the planet like they do in the
movies, they know by their forward observers there is nothing worthwhile here
like natural resources so there's no sense raping a planet already raped.
They should have done that before the Industrial Revolution. When it comes to
first contact, I'd expect The Day The Earth Stood Still because Independence
Day is a sheer waste of their time.
Artificial Intellegence? Oh don't get me started!
White Dwarf isn't a South African idea, the Zulu tribe I believe is much
farther north. Red Dwarf however is a BBC idea. Anything worth doing is worth
doing right, if it's not worth doing give it to Rimmer.
