Hello Barry, and as a participant in UFO @WW ..I join with
all here to welcome you to the roundtable....
In the past Jimmy Carter, also promised to open up the
government files on the UFOs. He didn't. Easy...an
earlier President had put them under National Security
to keep tabs, and compile etc .... thus any candidate
can say whatever they want....and if they win and are
elected...they learn to open up the files, then procedure
must be followed, and since under a Security or secret
stamp it is a bit more difficult.
Also remember, that President-Elect Obama is now getting
all or most government briefings, and also some more
access to the system, that he never had as a candidate
so like Mr. Carter, he was muzzled.
It needs a bill or something to be approved by Congress
and the Senate to allow a full glimpse into those files
and we have already seen that, as there was a bill limiting
it all to ...hmmm 40 years or something, and what passed
the censor was done, and relseased...which was nothing.

There is a lot of good reason, why in the US and CANADA
and other countrys, this secret stamp of silence is there.
The authorities do not want a repeat perhaps of the radio
scare of the 1930s, which caused panic in the area, with
a few deaths.

Sorry Barry, but your Peak Oil UFO lost me...like
did you switch threads?
Anyhow, UFO watching is still ongoing, and I have
before asked astronomers if they ever see these UFO things?
A: NO .... telescopes are not setup for that close to the
earth ....in fact we like black skys and no moon.
And the answer still is NO UFOs sighted at star or sky partys
by anyone.
When asked if they believe.... they mostly talk about live
elsewhere, and perhaps so different from us, we might even
miss it.
SO ... I join the rest...I keep watching, and enjoy the star
partys, and yet still get interesting pictures from those
who contributed to my broadcast on the subject....not realizing
I have been gone for a number of years, and thankful for the
experience.
I am glad, however to read the oberservations of others, and
I am interested ... like Peter ZS2ABF ... yes..lets ID what
isn't and get to the real sightings..
