Stromness In The Orkney Islands Of Scotland Deep Red Glowing Sphere
Date: 1980's
Time: Evening.
Whilst surfing the web I discovered a UFO site that mentioned Glowing Red
Spherical UFO. This is a subject close to my heart as in the early 1980's I
saw a deep red glowing sphere of light swoop down over the town, this had a
smaller sphere rotating around it in an orbit fashion. It was around and 100
feet in diameter (guess) and the small one may have been 5-10 feet. I
remembered seeing it after reading the book "Communion" by Whitley Streiber
and as I read it I had a flashback type memory of the incident. The strange
thing is, I have no recollection of the moments prior to the sighting or after
the sighting and I did not remember anything about this until almost 10 years
after the effect! My pal remembers it being dark orange
Additional Information:
I saw the large, deep red glowing Sphere when I was a young lad over a town
called Stromness in the Orkney islands of Scotland. At a guess, the thing was
travelling at around a couple of hundred feet and like I said, was silent. I
think it was headed in a south westerly direction. I did not mention/or
remember seeing this thing until approx: 10 years after the event. I don't
know what it was, but I was left shaken and paranoid after the flashback
memory. My Father has seen several UFO's over the Orkney Islands since we
moved there in the mid 1970's. I never mentioned this sighting to him until
after the memory, my friend was there too and he remembers seeing a deep
orange light.

Full Description of event/sighting: +/- 1985, Netherland, NATO base
Soesterberg (Utrecht): Flying triangle or unknown flying craft above the city
Utrecht.
When the air force base Soesterberg was active during "The Cold War" planes
most of the time flew over my house or above the surrounding area to or from
the base. When those planes started to land on the airfield their
undercarriage extended here too.
This event was during "The cold War" and therefore I kept my mouth shut and
almost forgot what I saw. But now I remember this event and "The Cold
War" is over.
+/- 1985 just after sunset I was stargazing in my backyard, sometimes with
binoculars and I do have a telescope with which I made photos, when I saw
something very dark moving across the sky. It was a triangular shaped object,
dark, horizontally 30 metres and vertically 50 metres away from me, flying
in the direction of the base and it made no sound at all. I saw it for some 10
seconds. In that time there were some rumors that there were planes with
anti-sound and I don't know if this object was one of those, but why flying
that low and soundless?
It flew from +/- south to north above Utrecht towards the base and if you
draw a line over the point Highway A2 - Thoriumweg (next to Vleutensebrug/
Vleutenseweg) and the Mill Geesina (1853) at the Ruigenhoeksedijk which is
west of the Highway A27 (Groenekanseweg) north-east of Utrecht then you
can see where it flew.
The Object:
Triangular with sides of 4 metres (12 feet) very dark.
No engines. No exhausts. No ailerons. No cockpit. No smoke trial. No flashing
lights. No other lights. No lights made by the engines
No reflection of the city lights on the object.
The colour looked liked the colour of the stealth bomber which was shot down
by the Serves during the Kosovo-war. I listened for a while if I could hear
any sound for as the object should come to much down to gain height but there
was nothing at all.

Over Cobourg, Ontario A Big Orange Ball

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving to work (midnight shift) and
I saw a big orange ball out over Lake Ontario towards Cobourg. There was a
full moon that night and both it and the orange ball were reflected onto Lake
Ontario. The big orange ball was above the moon. I watched it while driving
for about 3 minutes. I was going passed a clump of trees and a garage and it
was out of sight then but I was going to pull over and watch it take off after
I got passed the garage. When I got to the other side of the garage it had
disappeared. There was one other person that I was talking to about it, at a
later time and he and his girlfriend had both seen it too. I have never seen
anything like it before. Also my daughter and I were going to Cobourg just
this year 2008 and again we both saw a bright light out over the Lake that
disappeared and reappeared a few minutes later as we got closer to Cobourg. We
told my husband about it when we got home and he said that people had been
phoning the Art Bell radio show that night because they had seen something
too.

Cloverdale British Columbia Silver UFO With Rows Of Portholes

Time: Approx: 1:00 p.m.
Message: My husband and I are or we prefer to be called young seniors. We have
seen a lot of sightings over our life when we took the kids camping in remote
areas around B.C. We saw lights that would shine around the mountain tops,
dart around with no sound. So we knew that they were not helicopters or car
lights. Some times they would be white lights, sometimes they were red and
they would be in a straight line then they would shot straight up at a very
rapid speed then disappear. We knew back then that there was something going
on, but we kept quite about it because no one ever spoke about such things
then.
The most shocking one I ever saw was over Cloverdale B.C. about five years ago
in broad daylight around 1:00 in the afternoon going south on 176st. I
happened to look up to the west and saw a glint of silver in the sky. It was a
large craft. I could see many rows of port holes and there was a gold line
around the middle. I asked my husband if he could see it. Of course he could
not slam on the brakes as we were in traffic. When I looked back, it was in
the clouds. I kept watching, but I could not see it any more. We believe that
these crafts and beings are interdementional and they cannot be detected on
radar and can disappear at will. It is all very interesting.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was a typical day at work on a sunny
mid-morning on the sunshine coast. There were a few patchy clouds in the sky.
We were sitting down out side for smoke when it happened. The boys were
chatting about boring stuff as I was slouched back just looking at the sky,
which looked beautiful. I seen a egg shaped metallic metal coloured looking
object in the sky slowing heading in a southeast direction. This was going on
for about 15 seconds. It looked to me to be about 6 meter's in diameter in the
sky, but up high so it looked small. Then I saw a light single engine airplane
heading in the objects direction. The plane flew past it as the object
stopped. Then the UFO did a full on U-turn really sharply and followed the
plane closely.
Then I lost view as it went over the buildings. The people in the plane must
have seen it as it was close. I said too the guys at work if they saw it, but
they didn't as they weren't looking. It was a weird thing to experience.

North Yorkshire Moors, England Cigar - Cylindrical UFO Speeds Off

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband was driving us across the
moors. I turned to speak to him and out of the corner of my eye, noticed a
large silver/grey object flying along the valley next to us. We were driving
over the top of a large hill, the object was slightly lower than us but only 2
to 3 hundred yards away. At first I thought it was a commercial airliner and
commented to my husband that it was exceptionally low. The object was
travelling at about the same speed as us. Looking more closely, I observed,
that while in shape, it looked like the body of an airliner but had no tail
section, wings or windows. This observation was followed by an exclamation of
" **** what the hell is that?" which made my husband look.
The object then accelerated to great speed and disappeared into a valley
ahead. I was only a couple of minutes later, when we came out of our shock,
enough to speak about what we'd just seen, that we realized that it had made
no sound or left a trail of any kind. I've always kept an open mind about
UFO's, but my husband was a total skeptic - not any more. I've reported it to
a couple of places, but I think that people think I'm going mad

North Yorkshire Moors - Near RAF Fylingdales Dark Disks Inside Yellow Glow

Full Description of event/sighting: This is in response to your sighting of a
cylindrical object by a couple on the N. Yorks Moors the previous day to my
sighting. There have been numerous sightings in the area on the 14/15/16th of
the month some have been reported to the local press.
I saw the two low, slow flying objects as I was returning home over the North
Yorkshire moors approaching the RAF Fylingdales radar station near Saltersgate
at around 22:30 on the 15-08-2008. Almost directly above the station were two
very readily visible golden yellow lights moving at slow speed - as an ex
pilot, knowing that airspace to be restricted as a danger to aircraft area due
to radar emissions. I found this highly unusual and suspicious.
I found a safe spot to pull over and took out my camcorder from the car boot
and filmed a couple of minutes of footage. (not the sort of spot to be parked
for any length of time, as you are certain to me moved on by base security -
especially if waving a camera around!).
To the naked eye (and I have aircrew eyesight) there were no anti-collision
lights of any kind, which was confirmed by review of the video. The two
objects flew in slow, close formation and moved Eastwards towards the town of
Scarborough, which is some 10 miles away. They were completely silent, with a
spherical bright orange/yellow glow, seemingly around dark objects at the glow
centre - the dark objects appeared roughly disk shaped (cylindrical from a
side view) - no fuselage or control surfaces were observable.
Driving further across the moors closer to Whitby, the objects were still
visible and I was able to film them once more. I will try to email to you a
frame grab from the second video which is the clearest shot of the objects. I
hope this is of use and interest to your two witnesses. For further

Providence, Rhode Island A Dark Round Object

Description: While looking at a plane that appeared to be flying at maximum
altitude, my wife and I saw a dark round object flying in the opposite
direction to the airplane at a much higher altitude at a high rate of speed.
It then stopped directly above then must have went straight up and moved
beyond the atmosphere.

Description: My sister and I went for a walk around the blocks of Kilbourn
Ave. and James Ave. We were looking up at the big dipper and out of no where
we seen what looked to appear as a airplane. Then we noticed it was getting
closer to us and appeared to be coming down like it was going to land. When it
got right above us, there was red, blue, white and green lights flashing. It
seemed to be a triangle form with 2 white lights underneath it. When we looked
up above us it went straight up in the air, then it shot back towards the
east. We kept watching and we saw more of them. They were different shapes but
appeared out of nowere and looking through binoculars. It was clear to see
they were not airplanes.

Chatham, Kent UK Orange Orbs In Slight V Formation
Date: August 28, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Shape of objects: Unknown, orange orbs in slight V formation.
Weather Conditions: Partially cloudy with breaks.
Description: Off duty Police Officer was in his back garden having a barbecue
with friends. Approximately 21:00Hrs the conditions of the evening were dark
with partial cloud cover (2-3 octas). The house views NWW and is on top of a
hill, viewing a valley like area containing most of the town of Chatham. There
are no obstructions to this view and the visibility is approximately 4 miles
to the further side of the valley (hills with tress on the other side).
At this time the main witness and 3 friends spotted the slight V-formation of
6 maybe 7 orange orbs high up in the sky. No estimation on height
unfortunately, however no sound could be heard (this may be due to height of
objects). There were no navigation lights visible and the orbs were orange in
colour (much like the sodium street lamp colour). The objects were estimated
to be flying approximately 2-3 miles from the witness location travelling NWW
to SSE in a straight line.
It has been mentioned that should the lights be likened to a commercial plane
then they would have been travelling too fast as the area is frequented by
commercial aircraft, being placed in the middle of several London Airport
approach paths, and these aircraft are seen all the time. Also the aircraft
that pass over the area fly a minimum of 3000ft (local aircraft below that) to
a maximum of 5000ft if on approach. Any higher than that and you can still see
the NAV lights/strobes.
The witness stated that as the lights appeared to get closer to a
direct-line-of-sight position in respect to where they were, the lights
appeared to speed up, however this could be put down to a visual illusion
based on their speed of travel and the observers position.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look
at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and
received the following reply:
I did check out the website of UFO Balloons and can make very little comment
as I did not witness the incident myself. However the original witness states
that the lights stayed in formation, then split in several different
directions. The only explanation, should they be balloons, would be that the
lights entered an airborne Vortices of wind, which would have this effect. My
hunch is that this is RAF activity, however the second account counters this
(please see update below) and would back up the idea that it may have been
balloons that entered a vortices of wind. Either way in each account the
witnesses could not pin-point what it was they were watching, therefore in
their eyes, a UFO.

UPDATE: Witness 2
A report was made to Police on the 29th August 2008 whereby a female witness
from Rochester had a sighting on the 28th August 2008. She explained that she
was walking her dog late at night with a friend when they saw 7 orange lights
fly silently over them in the direction of Gillingham from Strood. She stated
that her sighting lasted approximately 30 seconds and she watched the lights
as they approached her location. After about 9 seconds she said that the
outside lights rapidly changed position and started circling one light in the
centre of the circle whilst still flying in the same direction. She then went
onto say that after about 25 seconds all the lights suddenly flew Upwards
until too dim to see. She reported this the following day.
UPDATE FURTHER: Research
I have read on this site alone, of many similar reports in Kent alone
(especially the River Medway-Strood report from 27th July) and other recent
Kent reports. They all seem very similar, orange coloured lights seen. It
would appear that this is probably somewhere nearby that is launching UFO
Balloons or that the RAF/MOD/Some kind of commercial venture, are now using
the area, possibly County, as a flight path. It bugs me that no Navigation
lights are seen if these are aircraft, and some of the maneuvers cannot be
explained away too easily. Interesting enough to keep me hooked for the time
being.

Wibsey Bradford, UK A Orange Sphere Shaped Glowing Object

Shape of objects: Sphere shape, glowing larger and smaller.
Weather Conditions: Very calm cloudy still evening.
Description: This orange sphere came from a southerly direction, and hovered
over Wibsey area moving at a slow pace, it moved to the right then the left
then stood still. At the same time a low flying plane flew over very close to
the left of it but higher. This Object then moved side to side and seemed to
go backwards and disappeared. Within two mins, it returned to the same place
and seemed to do the same again get lager and smaller and just hover over the
same area. It again moved in different directions then just disappeared. It
seemed to be a small object and there was no noise coming from it. Very odd,
in it's direction of moves and the shape of the light, not a plane,
helicopter.

Neguac, New Brunswick A Bright Glowing Oblong Object (Many Witnesses)

Shape of objects: Oblong lights.
Full Description of event/sighting: I don't generally buy into this type of
thing, but while parked at a beach, myself and two friends witnessed a bright
glowing oblong object in the sky steadily grow brighter, then disappear. It
occurred a second time, it was large, closer than the 'stars' but further out
than low flying planes.
After speaking to people in town, a number of folks saw it as well who were in
different areas of this part of NB, and everyone is incredibly perplexed.
One witness took a photo, and it was apparently published in the local
newspaper (L'Acadie Nouvelle), but I have not yet been able to find a copy of
that paper.
Also interesting to note, is that the next night we were looking in the same
area, hoping to witness the same thing while we had a camera, but instead we
saw a steady stream of air traffic, all following the same flight path. In
fifteen minutes we saw fifteen aircraft, of which there were three sets of
pairs of smaller jets and one low flying large plane that looked similar to a
Herc, all flying towards the area that the 'UFO' was reported, which is
extremely out of the ordinary for this part of NB.

Full Description of event/sighting: My boyfriend and I were walking back from
the store that night and looking up at the stars. A light, almost like a star
appeared and grew larger and larger almost like it was coming closer. Just
behind it was a aircraft, getting closer to the light (it was like a spotlight
in the sky). We were so amazed by it we had to tell someone. At that time the
aircraft had caught up. It had disappeared. All this happened in about 5
minutes. A few minutes later it had re-appeared and gone again. We had seen
other lights after that, about an hour half after this happened we saw a line
of red lights (all attached with one dark light. Example: red, red, red, red
and dark red slowly passing by ) It had got small as it passed and turned into
a white light (like a star) and all we could see was a blurry shape in the
sky. We have no clue as to what this was, but it was something we had never
seen in our lives. Any answers?

Moncton, New Brunswick A Bright White Silvery Oval Shaped Light

Shape of objects: Oval in length.
Full Description of event/sighting: I am reporting yet another sighting in
Moncton, Canada. This time it appeared to "come out" of a red/blue/green
object and at first it was a small faded light, then grew into a bright white
silvery light and travelled at a substantial speed to a point in the sky,
where it faded then reappeared from where it was last seen. It then went back
the exact same way it came forward. Both times it faded into view and then
faded away. I've seen quite a few unidentified objects lately and before the
at some point last week myself and my sister in-law witnessed 4 very, very
large square objects moving slowly and at a low altitude. They travelled quite
a distance in the sky and went from being 4 bright red lights to 2 faded
lights without a sound. Then hovered in the night sky for about 5 minutes or
so. We are seeing these lights on a nightly basis and I have checked with
other people I know who work at the airport here where I live and they've said
they cannot talk about things like that.
Louis Head Beach, Nova Scotia Object Lit Up The Ocean And More
Date: September 24, 2008
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.
On September 24 at about 10:00pm my partner and I were looking out over the
bay at Louis Head Beach, Nova Scotia (near Shelburne). Up in the sky there was
a very bright light that lit up the ocean below. A few seconds later the light
went out. After a few more seconds, 3 orange lights appeared. They were close
together in a horizontal line and were blinking. Then it was gone. There was
no sound associated with the lights.

St. Thomas, Ontario Three Silent Glowing Oval Disks

Full Description of event/sighting: I was walking home from work, September
24th, and as I was walking down Fifth Street to my house I happened to look up
at the sky for a brief moment, I seen nothing out of the normal until a sudden
movement in the sky caught my eye. I looked up again and saw three silent oval
glowing (white) disks. I continued to watch thinking maybe it was just my eyes
playing a game on me but after about 20 seconds I realized it was legit. The
disks stood still for another 10 seconds before slowly switching into a
rotating triangular pattern, in which lasted roughly 5 seconds, after they
started moving slowly south, and then shot off in a streak of light.
