Huge UFO Sighted - 1959 USAF SAC Base, Goose Bay, Labrador
History: Goose Bay, affectionately known as "The Goose", is located in
Canada's far north. Labrador is the largest geographical portion of the
province of Newfoundland, covering 294,330 square kilometers with a population
of just over 30,000. At one time, it was home to SAC's 95th Strategic Wing.
Air Force Combat Wing Histories (official USAF history) states that the 95th
Bomb Wing Medium was established June 4, 1952 and activated on June 16. It
was redesignated 95th Bomb Wing Heavy on Nov. 8, 1952. Apparently it was
originally slated for B-47s, but was instead assigned B-36s, which it flew
from 1953 to 1959. It flew B-52s from 1959 to 1966. It was discontinued and
inactive on June 25, 1966. All of this took place at Biggs AFB, Texas.
It was reactivated as the 95th Strategic Wing on August. 8, 1966 at Goose
Bay. At that time, the wing was flying KC-135 tankers. It was inactivated on
September 30, 1976.
Huge UFO Sighted On August 1959 USAF SAC Base, Goose Bay, Labrador
This is the report of the 1959 UFO sighting. The event happened at the USAF
SAC Base (long since abandoned by the Yanks, but still in operation by( NATO)
at Goose Bay, Labrador. I have reported it to MUFON a couple years ago, but
other than that I have not mentioned it to anyone. I have of course thought of
it thousands of times over the years (more than 47 years in fact - a long
time). I have been trying to find a UFO report describing the same type of
craft for a long time, however I have been unsuccessful in that regard.
Nothing comes close. Here is the description of the event. Distance is stated
in feet and miles. Remember how it use to be ?
August 1959 USAF SAC Base, Goose Bay, Labrador. At the time I was 22 years old
and a Newfoundlander working in the Motor Pool on the Base. The event happened
at approximately 0300 hours. I had been called out to drive two (2) visiting
USAF pilots to a lake near the Pine Tree Radar Base (approximately 25 - 30
miles from the Air Base) to do some fishing before they returned to their home
base. I was driving a jeep and we had just reached the outskirts of the Air
Base. From there to the Pine Tree Mountain there was nothing but pure
wilderness. Not a light to be seen except the headlights from the jeep and
there were tall trees on both sides of the road. We were driving along when
the passenger in the right hand seat said "what the hell is that". I looked
out my window and saw something coming over the trees and I immediately
stopped the jeep in the middle of the road and all three of us got out. What
we saw was unbelievable. I will not say that it was a certain size, all I can
say is that it was "big". I know it blocked out the sky above us. At that
latitude the sky is beginning to lighten up a bit in August, however not
really light enough to tell what shape the object was. The trees along the
road I would guess to be about 100 feet (a 1959 measurement) and the craft was
flying just above the tree tops. It was fling parallel to the ground and going
very slow. It make a slight humming sound, but it did not make any other
noise. There were no flashing lights what so ever. What it did have was three
large round lit areas running in a straight line.
I would guess that each one was about 25 - 30 feet in diameter. The space
between each was the same distance. Actually the size of the lights (I suppose
that is what they were) and the distance between was probably greater than I
have stated. I am guessing the distance because of the width of the road which
was 45 feet. There were no light rays or spot lights. The lit areas reminded
me of looking at a window with a shade pulled down from a distance. The color
was a yellow/white, but leaning more to the white. I can state all this with
great clarity because there was only about 150 feet between the craft and the
ground.
It moved very slowly and took a good 45 - 60 seconds to cross the width of the
road. After it reached the opposite side of the road it disappeared from
sight, because of the tall trees. I immediately turned the jeep around and
went back to where the tree line ended which was about a half mile from the
nearest runway. The object was still very close to where we were on the road.
We watched it proceed at the same altitude for about one half to three
quarters of a mile. This distance took the object in over the outskirts on the
Air Base where it took a slight turn upwards over the Base. When it was about
at the center of the Base the object took a sharp turn upward at the same lazy
speed. Actually it did not go straight upward, but took a spiraling route of
about one mile circumference (probably larger). It seems to be getting a good
look at the Base and if there was intelligence on board, it seemed to be
daring someone to go and have a look. Actually I never thought of those two
items' until much later.
We were too busy wondering what it was. The Control Tower was notified by my
two way radio. The people in the tower saw the object, however no one did
anything about it, or did not seem to care anything about it. Goose Bay was
not a fighter base, but was more of a long range bomber and aircraft refueling
operation. There were lots of A/C, but as far as I know there were no aircraft
on alert. Finally the object disappeared from sight. The whole experience
lasted about 20 minutes. Project Blue Book was in operation at the time,
however I did not know that until years later. Every Base was suppose to have
an officer on strength who was suppose to investigate such matters. I never
heard from anybody.
There is an entry in Blue Book about the Goose Bay sighting for August 10,
1959. It was made by an RCAF jet pilot (the RCAF occupied about one third of
the base and was separate from the US side) however it was not the same day or
the same object. I have been calling the sighting an "object" for a reason
which would be 1959 vintage. If somebody has said to me, did you see a UFO? I
would have answered, what is a UFO? I knew that we were seeing something
unusual, however not once did it enter my mind that it was something called a
"UFO". You probably wondering why this is fresh in my memory after all this
time. After a few years (I had joined the RCAF in 1960) had passed and I
realized what had transpired, I took down some details in a notebook. Also, I
shall never forget even the smallest detail of what I saw that night. I can
still see what I saw that very large craft coming in just above the tree tops.
I do not know what I saw that night, but I would guess that it was not man
made. It was not an aircraft, (fixed wing or helicopter), it was not a balloon
(weather or any other kind). No balloon was ever that big anyway.
If it had been a fixed winged aircraft it would have made alot of noise and
would have long ago crashed into the ground. As far as the helicopter is
concerned, it could travel slow, however the noise would show it for what it
was. Anyway back in 1959 that type of craft was not near as popular as it is
today. As for the balloon, who in their right mind would fly a balloon over a
military base at 0300 hours even in 1959 (when security was much, much slacker
than it is now). Whatever it was, it certainly did not belong to the Goose Bay
Air Base. I had been over almost every foot of road and in all the hangers and
had seen nothing ever close to being as large as the craft in question.
I cannot see this being some kind of hoax. Back in 1959 who would have
bothered because not much was publicized about UFOs. Who would bother to go to
such an isolated area just to have it seen by three people. As it happened, it
was just by a very slim chance that it was even seen by me and the other two.
The tower was alerted by me and the only other people awake at that time would
be the MPs (maybe) on the main gate and maybe a few other people all of whom
would probably be inside working. Even if some people were working on the
flight line, etc., would they be looking up at a UFO. Not likely. I believe
that you can drive into Goose Bay via a new road at present, however in 1959
that part of Newfoundland was completely isolated except for air travel and
the seaport which is open only during the Spring and Summer months )due to
Fall and Winter freeze up).

BREAKTHROUGH DEVELOPMENT ABOUT THE KUMBURGAZ SIGHTING IN TURKEY!!
HISTORICAL STATEMENT FROM "TUBITAK"

THE OBJECTS CAPTURED ON FILM IN THE KUMBURGAZ SIGHTINGS ARE UFO
The UFO’s, sighted at Kumburgaz, caused great shock waves around
the world and were part of the written and visual media from China to Russia
and Brazil to Switzerland and will go down in the World UFO literature as
one of the most significant UFO sightings. Nearly a dozen of residents at
the Yeni Kent compound witnessed these sightings filmed by the night
watchman named Yalcýn Yalman.
First of all, the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center
studied the footage in great detail for ten days, and as a result of the
study the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center concluded that the UFO
sightings were geniniue and not a hoax. On January 17, 2008 the Sirius UFO
Space Sciences Research held a press conference at the Dedeman Hotel flocked
by the high number of attendees. The incident was announced to the public
at this press conference and the aforementioned sightings were part of the
news covered in both local and foreign media, TV, and newspapers as well as
Internet portals. Following these developments some parties who appeared on
various TV shows, starting with Prof. Adnan Öktem from the Istanbul
University Department of Astronomy Sciences, Prof. Mehmet Emin Ozel from
the18 March University Department of Physics and Prof. Kerem Doksat from
the Istanbul University Department of Psychiatry claimed with great
prejudice that the footages taken in Kumburgaz were a hoax made up by a
mockup or computer animation without having conducted an analysis or any
kind of study.
Upon these developments the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Center CEO
Haktan Akdogan took part in a National TV show and stated live in front of
the cameras, that he would give the film to Prof. Adnan Oktem who wanted to
have the original film of the sightings in order to have it studied at a
Scientific Institution owned by the state that is highly reliable and
influential, called “TUBITAKö The Science and Technology Research Board of
Turkey. Prof. Oktem stated that he wanted the film to be analyzed at
TUBITAK’s National Observatory Center in Antalya this way the truth would be
revealed. Afterwards both parties decided to go to TUBITAK’s National
Observatory Center in Antalya, accompanied by the host of the aforementioned
TV show and the TV cameramen. When they got there, Haktan Akdogan handed
over the original film to Prof. Oktem, who submitted the film for analysis
to the scientists on duty at TUBITAK.
TUBITAK, as a result of the thorough analysis it conducted it
prepared an official report that stated: "The objects sighted in the
aforementioned footage that have a structure that is made of specific
material are definitely not made up by any kind of computer animation nor
are they any form of special effects used for simulation in a studio or for
a video effect therefore in conclusion it was decided that the sightings
were neither a mockup or hoax. "
Furthermore in the last part of the report, it was concluded
that these objects in the sightings that have physical and material
structures do not belong in any category ( such as; planes, helicopters,
meteors, Venus, Mars, satellites, fire balls, Chinese lantern… etc.) and
but rather fall into the category of UFO’s (Unidentified Flying Objects )...

One of the most significant UFO videos of all time that also
cover two extraterrestrials were caught on tape in Istanbul
This extraordinary incident took place in a compound in
Kumburgaz/Istanbul was witnessed by nearly a dozen of residents and filmed
by a night guard in several different times. The images captured are

As is well known, UFO’s and proof of extraterrestrial life have
been frequently witnessed by both government officials and civilians in our
country as well as throughout the world. In several cases, these
observations were captured on tape by amateur cameras.
In July-August 2007, a number of nation-wide UFO sightings were
reported while some of them were filmed and aired. Within the same period,
the objects witnessed by the residents of Kumburgaz/Yeni Kent Compound,

considered as the closest and the most significant images ever filmed in
Turkey and around the world.
In these amazing video footage which would likely have major
repercussions around the world and be listed as “the most significant UFO
video everö, physical forms of UFO’s and their metallic structures
reflecting moonlight are clearly noticeable. What’s more important is that
in the close-up pictures of the objects, silhouettes of two entities can be
distinctly made out.
The incident went on for two months intermittently before the
very eyes of the residents of “Yeni Kent Compoundö, filmed by a night guard
named Yalcin Yalman for 22 minutes. The detailed analysis of a certain
portion of these extraordinary videos showed that three different objects
were captured at the same time. It is our belief that these outstanding
first-ever video images of extraterrestrials will launch a new era in which
further images of extraterrestrial beings can be captured on tape
We, as Sirius UFO Space Science Research Center firstly, spoke
with all the witnesses separetly and got their sworn testemonies both in
written and taped...then did the detailed analysis of the full footage of 22
mn. video with the participation of our members of science board...We have
enlarged the video images of the footage, did all the detailed analysis and
checked pixels and went through the all footage frame by frame....also
certain portion of this extraordinary video showed that three different
objects were captured at the same time in several frames which were not
visible to the witnesses during the time of recording...
Also when you review the all footage of 22 mn...you can clearly
see the surroundings.....and where it was taken...
After doing all the necessary analysis which went on for several
days, we came to a definite conclusion with no doubts that this is a 100%
genuine footage....

Suburb Of Cleveland Ohio (Geauga Lake Park) A Cylinder Of Light.
Date: 1959 or 1960
Time: Evening.
I had an experience in 1959 or 60. I lived in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio and
was on a double date going to a rock and roll party. The place was packed and
they waved us by. We went to the end of the road and came back going in a
North West direction. When we reach about a quarter of a mile from the
entrance, a bright column of light appeared on the South side of the road in
an open area of scrub brush and grass. There was a narrow creek running
through the center of the circle of light.
The diameter was about 100 to 150ft and the height about 400 to 500 ft. You
could see the clouds going by where the light shined on them. There was some
static sparks coming off the sides of the column. The night was pitch black
and there were no street lights. The edge of the light was 100 to 150ft away
from me.The two girls that were in the car went crazy with fear, thinking the
world was coming to an end. My date wouldn't let me walk over to get under the
light. After 20 or so minutes, the light just blinked off. The Cleveland
Press, (local paper) said "hundreds of people seen the Aurora Borealis last
night at Geauge Lake Park". I was there and it certainly was no Aurora sitting
a hundred feet from me. I did report this to mufon, but only 48 or 49 years
late...Is this the first time any one has seen something like this? I've been
looking for more sightings as this one but no one seems to know anything about
them.
Additional Information:
. It seems his light was much, much larger in diameter than the one I saw in
'59 or '60. Do you think people will want to here about it even if it's almost
50yrs ago? As I was thinking back, the diameter could have been a little
larger than 150ft., but not a mile like Chris said. Also my sighting lasted
for at least 20min.or more. I've had 4 other sighting besides the light. If
you like I could tell you about them. The span of sightings covers fifty yrs.
The first was when the Russians sent Sputnik up, I believe that was 1958, and
the last sighting was June 30 2007. The light was my 2nd sighting, and lasted
the longest.

Near Lillooet, British Columbia A Orange Light At Eye Level With Eyewitness
Date: Summer 1974
Time: Night.
Location of Sighting: Near Lillooet British Columbia.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Yellow/orange light.
This was the summer of 1974, but I'm not sure of the month. My husband, myself
and our one year old daughter had been visiting relatives in the Vancouver
area. We were starting, in our truck and camper, the long, long drive back to
Whitehorse in the Yukon. We decided to drive the road that passes through
Whistler and eventually comes out in Lillooet rather than go the route through
the Fraser Valley and Canyon. We'd never gone this way before and didn't have
a map. We didn't really need one as there are not many roads in this part of
the Province. The sky was blue and the sun was shining and we were quite
enjoying the trip. However when we reached Mt Currie we did not notice the
gravel logging road branching off to the right. Today the road is paved and
well marked with signs. Back then there was nothing to indicate that this is
where we should have turned.
This is a very isolated area. The valley is quite narrow with tall mountains
on both sides and an unseen river down a very steep drop on the opposite side
of the valley. There were no houses or side roads, nothing for many miles in
both directions. There were scattered pine trees but little underbrush as this
is a semi-arid region. By the time we pulled in it was dark so we did not see
much of our surroundings. I was still feeling a bit uneasy but tried to ignore
it. I knew we had to stop and get some rest.
Before long we were settled for the night. Sometime later I suddenly awoke. My
child and husband were both sleeping soundly but I was feeling very alert. I
pulled back the covering from the tiny window by my head and looked outside.
The night was clear and very quiet. I could faintly see the outline of the
mountain tops against the starlight. Everything else was black. All at once
there was an orange light right in front of me at almost eye level. At first
it was still, then it started to slowly move back and forth. In the dark I had
no perspective. It might have been a small light close by or a much larger one
farther away. Although it was quite bright it did not reflect on anything
around it. There was no sound, not even the ordinary night sounds of the
desert. I lay staring, trying to find a rational explanation. The movement I
concluded was similar to a person walking along a road and carrying an orange
lantern. That did not make me feel any better as I knew there were no houses
within miles and nowhere to be coming from or going to.
I thought I'd better tell my husband so I gave him a shake. He didn't wake up.
More shoving, whispering, poking and pinching could not get him awake.
Normally he is a very light sleeper but this night I never did manage to
awaken him. Almost in tears of fear and frustration I looked back out the
window. The light was still there, still moving ,although it had moved
sideways a short distance. Then it was gone. In some ways that was as
disturbing as when I could see it. I don't know if I had watched the light for
five minutes or half an hour. I don't remember anything else of the night,
although I can't imagine my going back to sleep when everything was so
frightening. But I don't remember staying awake either.
My next memory is morning and getting the camper ready to go. I was still very
frightened. I looked back out the window from where I'd seen the light and
realized that it was unlikely to have been a person carrying a light, unless
the person was about 12 feet tall!
My husband then decided this was a great time and place to do engine work on
the truck. I was still so uneasy that I would not leave the side of the truck,
not even to pick some Saskatoon berries just a few feet away. I stayed right
beside the passenger door. I certainly wasn't going all the way back (about 8
feet) to the door of the camper! My daughter was in my arms the whole time. I
was too scared to even put her on a blanket at my feet. My fear was totally
irrational, confusing and strong.
Eventually we were on the road again and it was with growing relief that I
headed away from my memory of "something" on a mountain and a strange orange
light. I will probably never know just what was going on in that region. But
I do know I didn't like it!
