HBCC UFO Research Note: On March 11, 2007 there was a major meteor sighting. I was sitting at the computer listening to a radio show over the computer and checked my HTTP referrals in my administration area of the site, I darn near flipped when I saw the large number of people searching out meteor sightings for March 11, 2007, actually people were looking all night long. I ended up posting a short note asking if there was a meteor sighting and if anyone had witnessed it to write, well in came the reports straight away and continued on all the next day. Reports of the meteor were reported in the newspapers and on TV. They sightings range from Ontario into Ohio and Michigan. Actually in Michigan there was a report where the meteor had almost hit a ladies car while she drove down the highway, she states it was that close and did impact somewhere very close by to her area. She gave maps of what she thought was the impact area.

Western Maine Unusual Ball Of Fluorescent Light Travels Through The Forest
Thanks for your reply and valued opinions. I am a retired scientist and during my long camping trips in a remote area of western Maine . My son and I were on a trip about 25 years ago at that location during the winter. On a cold still night, we went for a walk after supper and as we walked down the road, a ball of fluorescent light, maybe 2 feet in diameter, crossed our path about 30 feet away. We were both quite surprised and watched it move off into the forest. We immediately looked for any signs in the fresh snow but found nothing. We proceeded down the road for a while, then turned to return.
When we approached the same area, the light appeared again, crossed our path and disappeared into the forest. At that point, my young son became scared since we were over 5 miles away from anyone else. I have never seen anything like it again and I often walk after dark. Actually, I am leaving tomorrow morning for a week of XC skiing and snowshoeing in that area. I don't think this experience qualifies as a UFO sighting but it was certainly unusual and unexplainable.

Tecopa California (Death Valley) Saucer Shaped Object

Time: 11:20 p.m. Number of witnesses: 2. Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Sphere.
It was my birthday on Jan 11, of this year 2007. I went to the hot springs that I go to every other week or so. Tecopa is about 100 miles South West of Area 51, 30 miles South East of Ft. Irwin military base, 100 miles East of China Lake Naval Weapons Facility, and about 20 miles from Wingate Pass. All of these locations to my belief have UFO activity. Our conversations were about beliefs most of the night and to an alarming extent. The population of Tecopa is around 100 people I believe. When we pulled out of the resort, at a time when everyone and everything is still and quiet, we drove about 200 yards and stopped in front of the community center next to the RV park. On the side of the building there was an orb or ship spherical in shape but saucer shaped.
There were two rows or blue lights in the middle. Each row spinning in the opposite direction of the other. The orb was about 10 feet tall. It was parked on the ground out in the open. We both saw it and June told me to drive over to it, and I'm thinking maybe I should have, but I drove like I saw nothing right past it. I have been waiting to see something like that for a long time and it wasn't what I thought I would feel like after seeing something like that. I actually didn't care almost. But I think about it all the time now.

South Bend, Indiana Triangle In The Sky For A Long Time
Date: March 11, 2007. Time: Probably lasted from 8:00 -11:00 p.m.?
Location of Sighting: South Bend, IN
Number of witnesses: Many. Number of objects: One for sure.
Shape of objects: From my eyes it was triangular shaped.
My sister came in telling me there was something in the sky outside that a lot of people were staring at. I went out there and there was a very bright triangular shape in the sky, it looked pretty distance but it was very high up as well. It seemed to start out really high in the sky and get lower and lower, very slowly. We were looking at it through tree branches and it was definitely moving around slowly. Due to us watching this and not our cat, he got ran over and we were dealing with this and not paying attention. I went back to look later and the UFO had moved south east in the sky. I went back in for 10 minutes and came back out and it was gone. It hovered for quite a while.
I stood outside for at least a half hour looking at it, and it had already been there at least an hour before I got to see it. It was there for probably a few hours, and it seemed to be spinning because it would get dimmer and brighter randomly. We called 911 and they said thousands of people have called and they didn't know what it was. On the news, they said it was a possible meteor but I don't believe that. We got a picture and what I saw looks nothing like the picture but I assumed my camera adjusted for the exposure and got a better picture.
