Sightings Near Airports
This week's files cover: President Gerald R. Ford Was Interested in UFOs,
Alien Bases on the Moon, Astronaut Photography of Earth Shows UFOs.
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena were spotted over: Arkansas, California,
Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, and Ohio. UFOs
were also seen in Canada, Greece, Mexico, Poland and the UK.
These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists,
but my hypothesis is that the over one hundred UFOs reported each week
represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of
Earth. We are continuing the investigation and make the assumption we are
not alone in the universe. Based on the large number of sightings, we can
assume the watchers have had bases on Earth for thousands of years.
The US Air Force under Project Blue Book investigated UFOs for more than
twenty years, we continue this research. Our goal is to uncover the secrets
of UFOs.
President Gerald R. Ford Was Interested in UFOs
He apparently had interest in UFOs because he asked about them as a
Congressman, Vice President and 38th President. Congressman Gerald R. Ford
stated, "The American public deserves a better explanation than that thus
far given by the U. S. Air Force.
In 1966, Michigan experienced hundreds of UFO sightings and reports by
dozens of students of a weird dancing light produced quite a furor. To
handle the demands for an explanation the Air Force held a quickly arranged
news conference where J. Allen Hynek, an astronomy advisor to Project Blue
book, made a statement he would regret the rest of his life. He declared
that a sighting made by Frank Mannor on March 16, 1966, in Dexter, Michigan
was probably "swamp gas." The comment made Hynek an instant celebrity. One
of those who came to the help of the public in their demands for answers
from the government was House Republican leader Gerald Ford, who would
later become 38th President. Like any good Congressman Ford came to the
defense of his constituents.
"In the firm belief that the American public deserves a better explanation
than that thus far given by the Air Force, I strongly recommend that there
be a committee investigation of the UFO phenomena. I think we owe it to the
people to establish credibility regarding UFOs and to produce the greatest
possible enlightenment of the subject."
"I have taken special interest in these (UFO) accounts because many of the
latest reported sightings have been made in my home state of
Michigan...Because I think there may be substance to some of these reports
and because I believe The American people are entitled to a more thorough
explanation than has been given them by the Air force to date, I am
proposing either the Science and Astronautics Committee or the Armed
services Committee of the House, schedule hearings on the subject of UFOs
and invite testimony from both the executive branch of the Government and
some of the persons who claim to have seen UFOs...In the firm belief that
the American public deserves a better explanation than that thus far given
by the Air Force, I strongly recommend that there be a committee
investigation of the UFO phenomena. I think we owe it to the people to
establish credibility regarding UFOs and to produce the greatest possible
enlightenment on this subject."
Ford's letter was passed on to the House Armed Services committee and the
House Science and Astronautics Committee in hopes that one of the two
groups would hold hearings. Neither would do anything to start. One member
of the Science and technology Committee explained that as he knew the Air
Force didn't come under his jurisdiction. Ford then asked the committee if
flying saucers were under their jurisdiction and received no reply. The
Armed Services Committee on the other hand thought that there might be
troubles holding hearing. It had been tried before and never took place.
The House Committee on Foreign Affairs did take up the issue in response to
the call for hearing made by Ford. It was not the full hearings that Ford
had asked for but it was an airing of the issue in public. Committee
representative Cornelius E. Gallagher had questions for President Johnson's
Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. McNamara stated: Of course we have an
interest in it. We treat each of these reports as though it were a report
of a sincere individual, and we seek to find the explanation of what it was
that led to the report. It is our responsibility to defend the country
against potential aggressors. We don't know what form the aggression might
take. We recognize the possibility that it might take a different form than
anyone has anticipated in the past. I have complete confidence in the Air
Force's objectivity in this area. If anything the investigations are more
extensive than actually required.
Gallagher: Is there anything at all to any of this?
McNamara: I think not. I have talked to the Secretary of the Air Force and
the (AF) Director of Research and Engineering, and neither of them place

Alien Bases on the Moon
Strange things have been seen on the moon for centuries -- usually flashes
of light or color, or lights that appear to move across the lunar surface.
These are known as transient lunar phenomena (TLP), and many of the
reports, dating from 1540 to 1969, have been cataloged by NASA. Thousands
of UFO reports indicate the craft are either based on Earth or relatively
nearby. The Air Force radars pick up "Uncorrelated targets," those not
contained in their database on a regular basis. Often UFOs are filmed by
our shuttles entering and leaving our atmosphere.
"Walter Schirra aboard Mercury 8 was the first of the astronauts to use the
code name 'Santa Claus' to indicate the presence of flying saucers next to
his space capsule on October 3, 1962.
James Lovell on board the Apollo 8 command module came out from behind the
moon on Christmas Day 1968, he said for everybody to hear: 'Please be
informed that there is a Santa Claus.'
In the Sea of Fertility Magelhaens A Crater is a 32-kilometer in diameter
located at 12.6 south latitude, 45 east longitude. In its center are huge
structures four by three kilometers square at base, and better than one and
a half km.tall. The sun is the east.
The structure to the left center implies ramps leading up to launching
facilities. Notice the double line leading towards the left and right from
the central area the object sits on, which is indicative of a "causeway".
The central complex is surrounded by various straight lines not found in
nature, indicating intelligent design and similar to archaeological ruins
here on Earth.
Recently Buzz Aldrin announced on TV, that when Apollo 11 visited the Moon
their capsule was accompanied by a UFO. According to Apollo 11 transcripts of
the technical debriefing following the mission, astronauts Armstrong, Edwin
`Buzz' Aldrin and Michael Collins told of an encounter with a large
cylindrical UFO even before reaching the moon. `We called the ground and
were told the S-IV Booster was 6,000 miles away.' Aldrin described the UFO
as a cylinder while Armstrong said it was `...really two rings. Two
connected rings.' As they circled the moon, Armstrong saw a mysterious
bright florescence light on the inner wall of the crater Aristarchus.
Later when they landed, Neil Armstrong took the first step on the Moon on
July 21, 1969, it seemed that mankind had finally conquered our closest
neighbor. During the next three years, six missions to the moon were made
and a total of twelve astronauts walked on the moon. Almost all saw strange
artifacts or UFOs indicating some type of alien presence. It seems logical
that we would have established a permanent Moon base for scientific study.
The former Soviet Union carried out its scheduled lunar exploration and
then quietly sidelined its projects suggesting we were warned to stay away.
It is only recently that plans have been announced for a new expedition and
a base to be constructed on the moon, even so, most of the work will be
done with robots and humans will not actually return to the moon until
2018.
The idea the moon could be an alien base sounds unreasonable; unless you
start listening to some of the astronaut statements and realize radars,
cameras, and electronic signals are picking up these objects in space on a
regular basis. The Moon is known to have valuable minerals and sources of
energy. There is more evidence to support the alien base theory. Radio
transmissions between the Armstrong and mission control was broadcast
live,`"We have company' before NASA officials hurriedly pulled the plug. A
variety of sources claim that radio hams picked up the following
communication before the crew switched to a secure channel."
`These babies are huge, Sir...enormous...Oh, God, you wouldn't believe it!
I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there...lined up on the far
side of the crater edge...they're on the moon watching us...'
Apollo 14 Astronaut Edgar Mitchell the sixth man to walk on the Moon,
openly claims the other astronauts saw amazing objects on the Moon and told
him what they had seen.
We have supporting statements by Otto Binder, Dr. Garry Henderson and
Maurice Chatelain that the astronauts were under strict orders not to
discuss their sightings. Gordon Cooper testified to a United Nation's
committee that one of the astronauts witnessed a UFO on the ground.
Christopher Kraft, who was director of the NASA tracking base in Houston
during the Apollo Moon missions, revealed the following conversation
between Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mission Control after he left NASA:
Apollo 11: "Those are giant things. No, no, no ... this is not an optical
illusion. No one is going to believe this!"
Mission Control (Houston Center): "What...what...what? What the hell is
happening? What's wrong with you?"
Apollo 11: `They're here under the surface.'
Mission Control: "What's there? Emission interrupted...interference control
calling Apollo II."
Apollo 11: "We saw some visitors. They were there for awhile, observing the
instruments."
Mission Control: "Repeat your last information."
Apollo 11: "I say that there were other spaceships. They're lined up on the
other side of the crater."
Mission Control: "Repeat...repeat!"
Apollo 11: "Let us sound this orbit a.... In 625 to5...automatic relay
connected...My hands are shaking so badly I can't do anything. Film it?
God, if these damned cameras have picked up anything. What then?"
Mission Control: "Have you picked up anything?"
Apollo 11: "I didn't have any film at hand. Three shots of the saucers or
whatever they were that were ruining the film."
Mission Control: "Control, control here. Are you on your way? Is the uproar
with the UFOs over?
Apollo 11: "They've landed there. There they are and they are watching us."
Mission Control: "The mirrors, the mirrors...have you set them up?"
Apollo 11: "Yes, they're in the right place. But whoever made those space

Apollo 12 Strange Reflection
This photo of astronaut Alan Bean was taken by Pete Conrad as both stand on
the lunar surface. You can see Conrad in the reflection in Bean's visor.
You can also see some instrumentation in the foreground of the reflection.
But what the heck is that thing hovering in the sky in the background,
pointed out here as "artifact" by Luna: Astronauts Among the Ruins ? You
can even see the shadow it casts on the ground behind Conrad. Yet this
photo is really puzzling. We can usually find reasonable, or at least
plausible, explanations for the other photos shown here and elsewhere, but
this one is truly enigmatic. What about it NASA? What the heck is that
thing? Perhaps the best source for this kind of information is The Lunascan
Project, an organized effort by amateur astronomers to record and document
TLPs.

Many other spheres are able to be seen that are also in orbital altitude
following the NASA spacecraft but you have to try and discern them against

Arkansas Silent Triangle
Gentry -- Last night December 12, 2006, at 3:31 AM I noticed three bright
lights outside in the sky. These lights were arranged in a triangle shape.
Two of the lights were white or possible a pale yellow in color then one
bottom light was red. Gentry is a very rural area, with no traffic or other
light disturbances. I went outside and the lights zipped across the sky,
from left to right, almost like a shooting star sideways with NO SOUND!
Then it paused on the right side of the sky, then immediately zipped back
across the sky to the right. This time the red light was on the top not the
bottom. It was so dark that I could barely see the actual craft, so I am
going by the shape and light pattern as to the EXACT shape. It was matte
black, not shiny. This was NOT a typical airplane. It was so fast zipping
across the sky and NOT a sound... Made a sideways "N" zigzag pattern, then

California Disc Cigar
Ukiah -- While sitting on my front porch at 4:40 PM, on December 10, 2006,
I looked, saw a quick flash of movement and suddenly four cylinder shapes
came out of the clouds and "danced" back and forth, almost quivering, then
suddenly they spun sideways, up and down, and zoomed straight off toward
due west. They had no lights just the solid shapes of dark gray cylinders
or ovals.
Studio City -- The observe saw a white disk on December 12, 2006, at 10 PM.
It was shaped like a normal saucer but it had a little dip at the bottom.
It was able to gain altitude while remaining parallel to the ground

SANTA CRUZ - I was sightseeing and taking photographs along the north
California coast on December 30,2006. On a back road just south of Bonny
Doon, I took a photo of a picturesque landscape. The camera was pointing
approximately east. I did not see any object in the sky. The camera was a
Hewlett Packard Photo Smart R 967, 10 megapixels, in auto mode. Shutter
speed for ambient lighting conditions varied somewhat for different scenes,
but it was hovering around 1/400 second. Several hours later, looking at
the image on a computer screen, I noticed a dark oval object just above the
trees. Here is the close up of the object.
Another photo of the same landscape, taken at the same time but panned

Colorado Light
Northglenn -- I was working the graveyard shift out on the oil fields at 5
AM, on Wednesday morning December 13, 2006. Three employees get a ride to
work by our boss and ten miles out of town, Mark noticed a light in the
western sky. Our boss Larry pulled over and we got out and observed a
flashing blue and purple light in the sky. Larry stated that he thought it
was a satellite, until ten minutes went by and the "light" changed to a
reddish maroon color and moved east at a decent speed, and stopped flashing
and disappeared. Two minutes later we located it and this time it was
moving in an awkward curving motion and then vanished. Thanks to Peter

Colorado Springs Airport - The witness states, "I was driving in blizzard
conditions on December 20, 2006 at 8 AM and took this digital picture to
show how bad it was. I noticed later an object in the picture that was not
visible to me at the time. Winds were strong and were blowing straight at
my truck. The object is under a streetlight, but looks more distant. It is
not a spot on my windshield. I just snapped digital cam to capture driving
conditions and did not notice the object until later. The airport and all
air traffic was shut down. The winds were at 35-45 mph. I was taking a
picture of the truck ahead of me, there were three trucks with trailers.
Due to conditions we were driving 15-20 mph. The road we are driving is
parallel to the airport which is two miles south of our position.
Investigator's Notes: I originally thought that the object in the photo was
a light airplane or helicopter. However, the witness stated the Colorado
Springs Airport was closed because of the storm. (Most other airports in
Colorado on the Front Range of Rockies were likely also closed due to the
severe winter.) It is doubtful that any aircraft would be flying under the
severe weather conditions noted at the time of the photo. (See weather
observation above.) Therefore this makes it quite unlikely that the object
was a helicopter or airplane. Another possible explanation is that the
object could be a spot on the windshield. This is also unlikely because the
witness checked his windshield and found no debris. Also the object is in
focus. A spot on the windshield would likely be more out of focus. So what
was the object? At this time I consider this photo as unidentified. Thanks

Florida Light
Hollywood - On December 27, 2006, I returned from picking up dinner
immediately after sunset and noticed low in the west an illuminated object
which I initially suspected was a planet or a satellite reflecting light
from the sun. To the naked eye the object was as bright as Venus and no
other stars were visible yet, and that the object was slightly to the south
of where the sun had set in the WSW). I thought it was odd that it would
reflect light toward me if it were between me and the sun. I went and got
my camera, a Panasonic FZ5. I shot some shots with a normal exposure:

I realize that this could be a combination of a satellite and atmospheric
effects. The object did seem to follow the rotation of the Earth. Barry

Illinois Airline Employees Say They Saw UFO
CHICAGO - The Chicago Tribune reports on January 1, 2007, that many pilots
and workers at the airport saw a UFO hovering over Concourse C, that shot
up into the clouds on November 7. The Federal Aviation Administration
acknowledged that a United supervisor had called the control tower at
O'Hare, asking if anyone had spotted a spinning disc-shaped object. But the
controllers didn't see anything, and a preliminary check of radar found
nothing out of the ordinary. The FAA has chosen not to investigate, because
they feel it was probably just some weird weather phenomenon. United
Airlines employees swear they saw a saucer-shaped craft hovering over
O'Hare Airport in Monday's Chicago Tribune. Details can be found at

Michigan Airport UFOs
DETROIT -- Dr. Harry Willnus writes he has been following the UFO scene for
more than fifty years and is the past MUFON Michigan Director and presently
a MUFON consultant. Regarding Filer's Files recent mention of UFO's near
airports, I must share that I spent 36 years in education teaching in the
Romulus Community School District that contains within its borders the
Detroit Metro Airport. The airport ranks as one of the top ten busiest
airports in the nation. Northwest Airlines uses Metro as a hub. Over my
years of teaching I had classroom contact with thousands of students and
their parents who resided in the township. My intense interest in UFO's
became known in the community and was told of hundreds of stories that were
UFO related. The reports were sometimes dramatic, with close-in sightings
of strange crafts over roof tops or trees. All of this occurred in a little
community of 36 square miles with a major airport nearly in the middle of
it. Detroit had a major UFO flap in February and March 1978.
While some of the sightings made the local papers and TV stations, little
information appeared out state. The flap had major airport implications.
Some of the sightings occurred inside airport fence lines on or near ground
level. A few of the sightings were during the day, but most came at night.
I called the FAA tower control people on a daily basis, but never did
receive any confirmation of any UFOs during the specific times sightings
were reported. There were dozens of other cases in nearby communities, some
multiple witness affairs. My guess is that some UFO's use airports as
"hiding places".
Since there are multiple sets of lights around busy airports at night, it
becomes easier for these strange crafts to go about their business without
attracting a lot of attention. My gut fleeing is that major US airports
have numerous UFO sightings by people who reside in the immediate airport
area. Generally these sightings are seldom reported. Thanks to Dr. Harry

Editor's Note: Some of our best cases are in sight of Philadelphia Airport
and McGuire Air Force Base. A vice president of a major company claimed the
UFOs would hover near his home ten miles from the airport. When helicopters
or planes flew near the disc shaped UFO, it would hide in the trees. There
were sightings at Chicago's O'Hare Airport, Colorado Springs, Cleveland,
and Columbus', Georgia Airport.
Clinton County -- This is a follow-up to the incident I reported on
December 2, 2006. On this date, some object followed my daughters and me
for over an hour, before a triangle appeared. This is our 4th triangle
since Feb 14, 2006. I have a video of the triangle as well as photos.
This report has pictures of an object that I took pictures of earlier in
the SAME day as the previously reported event. In this follow-up report, I
will show that the object morphed/changed...from a tiny dot/speck...into a

Missouri Object With a Blue Light Under It
Nixa -- I was outside watching the Geminid Meteor Shower on December 12,
2006, when all of a sudden I saw a grayish sphere with an orange stripe
down the middle slowly move over my house at 10:54 PM. It made a loud
buzzing noise. Later, I saw a star that just stayed in the same spot the
whole night. When the Earth rotates the stars move, but not this one. It

Ashgrove - At 10:56 PM, I stepped outside to check on the puppies and
noticed an object in the sky about 1000 feet high on December 12, 2006. It
was headed on a straight course and suddenly just stopped, and reversed
course for 1/4 mile then a blue light came on under the object. It flew
east again to the point it stopped the first time, and the large blue light
went off. It flew on at a slow speed, stopped again, backed up and again
the blue light came on. I watched for twenty minutes and repeated these
movements twenty times till it flew to the eastern horizon. It was about
the size of my thumb nail with my arm fully extended. It had a small orange
light on the front and a blue green light on the back and was traveling at
about the same speed a passenger plane travels coming in for a landing.

New Mexico Flying Object Photo
deming -- We were traveling west on I-10 coming out of El Paso, Texas when
I noticed the object about ten minutes before I told my wife. It seemed
strange to me, because it was a fairly large hovering metallic object. I
thought it was a helicopter or blimp and asked my wife. She thought it was
a circular shape and seemed heavy and made of metal. After driving about 20
miles and fearing loosing sight of the object, I pulled off in the center
dividing strip and took 4 photos and a short video with my Fuji f20 digital
camera. It is strange but looking on the photos, the object seems smaller
than I remember it and on the video I cannot see it at all. After snapping
the photos we left loosing it behind some hills. I regret not driving
towards it to find out what it really was but we had a long drive ahead of
us. If you could please let me know any information you have on this, I
would appreciate you letting me know. Look in the center of photo and zoom
in as I don't know how to make objects bigger.
New York Flying Triangle
Owego -- Monarca Merrifield writes, "At 12:15 AM Friday December 22, 2006,
my sister awakened me to tell me she had just spotted a self-luminous,white
light, round object hovering above a cornfield on Waits Road. It hovered in
one spot for 10 minutes. As it started to move, its light turned to blue
and red lights. Then it flew over her home and the lights turned off but
the shape was visible against the stars. All of a sudden, it sped up and
made a sound like a big "Swoosh" sound then a sonic boom. She took a

Ohio Flying Triangle
Mentor -- "On December 26, 2006, about 8 PM, I thought it was a low-flying
plane, but the closer it got to my car, the more I realized that it wasn't
moving at all. It was triangularly shaped, with flashing white, and a
couple of red lights. It was way too low and large to be a plane. There is
no tower anywhere nearby.
Investigator's Notes: This case would at first seem to be a sighting of a
conventional aircraft, however, the witness should have seen red, green,
and white lights. The sighting was close to Cleveland Burkelake Airport and
people can mistake moving aircraft as hovering because of distance, but
given that the aircraft appeared large to the witness, this is an unlikely
scenario. Given available information I am not sure what the witness saw 25

Canada Disk UFO Photo
Oshawa - Paul Shishis writes, " On Saturday, December 23, 2006, we had
great clear skies here. The temperature was well above normal, as it
brought out the insects and I took a moment to skywatch about 12:30 PM and
took photos over Lake Ontario.
While watching with the naked eye, I noticed pulses of white light-like a
camera flash. There was also these white things moving across the sky at
quite a distance. I had blocked the direct sunlight, in order to have a
clean visual. So I took some pictures and found this one photo quite
interesting. The photo illustrates two different shaped unknowns, with the
brilliant white image of colour. In the top of the photo appears a disk
shaped object. Near the bottom a capsule shaped object that is more
brilliant white. I was using my new Casio camera that has 7.2 mega pixels
with a 3x optical zoom. Thanks to Paul Shishis
Arva, Ontario -- The witness states, "On December 10, 2006, I drove past
Arva and took some photos on a nice sunny morning. I took several pictures,
and when I downloaded the photos this strange object was in the picture, I
didn't use light, in my camera. I am not exactly sure of the date. Please
tell me what it is?"
Investigator's Notes: I am not sure what the witness photographed. The
anomaly could be an unusual cloud formation, but that is doubtful. The
photo does show a faint line (like a contrail) that goes through the photo.
Perhaps a cloud formation occurred as the result of a contrail. I do not
believe that the photo is a hoax because the camera model and date/time
stamp was in the file properties. Files that are edited generally lose this
property information. There is some doubt about the exact date of the

with the camera on a table (to get a steady shot). The camera was a digital
Olympus C-350. The witness and his wife were on the balcony watching the
full Moon and he was playing with his new digital camera, when he saw
something blue over the village, which was moving to the right. The first
photo was blurry, the 2nd was taken with a flash and nothing could be
discerned, 3rd photo was taken with camera profile for night without flash
but due to zoom and motion was also blurry. Finally he put the camera on
the table and took the attached photo.
He couldn't discern features with the naked eye, but it seemed to change
inclination. The conditions were not ideal due to full moon and garden
lights. The seacoast is at 200 meters and the object seemed to be over the
sea. The odd thing was that while everything else was lit with white light
due to full moon, this was blue and it seemed to have some 'exhaust' below.

Mexico: Airline Crew Sees UFO
According to a report received from researcher Alfonso Salazar, on December
23, 2006 the crew of a Magnicharter flight between Los Cabos and Mexico
City witnessed the maneuvers of an unidentified flying object (UFO) at 8:30
p.m., as reported by flight engineer Angel Torres Arenas.
The witness described a luminous UFO giving off orange, green and blue
lights, flying at an altitude greater than the aircraft's cruising
altitude, placing it at 22,000 feet. He added that the probable UFO
accompanied the aircraft through its entire route and that the crew was
fully aware that it was an identified craft. As an additional item of
information, he noted that the airliner was a Boeing 737-200, registration

On December 29, 2006 a flying object was photographed near the Moon
"aparecio" like a 6:30 PM winged of the moon and moving towards the north.

Poland: Alleged UFO Photographed
Kielce -- On 15th December 2006 at about 15:20 Mr. J.B. took photos of a
plane passing over Kielce - Uroczysko from a balcony of his flat. He used a
Canon Eos 350D camera. After downloading the photos onto his PC he noticed
a strange object resembling a bright dot in the airplane area. "On the
following photos the spot remained in its place while the craft and clouds
were moving quickly" - he admitted. After an analysis of the photo with
graphic programs, the man noticed an anomalous nature of the object. The

UK/England Egg
Birmingham -- I saw a bright blue white egg shaped object flying above
houses on December 11, 2006, at 10:50 PM, with no sound, no trail,
traveling at speed faster than a helicopter, slower than a shooting star.
The last time I saw something flying almost as fast was a Harrier Jet
(their base was not far away from my brother's house and it was nothing out
of the ordinary for him) flying at night above a small village. The
sighting of whatever I saw happened when I was coming home from dancing
lessons. I had just turned off the Birmingham Road and was traveling at
about twenty miles per hour up a very steep hill. The weather was cold with
a completely clear sky with no moon. I do not know the direction it was
going but it appeared in my sight line at about 1 o'clock and disappeared
at about 10 o'clock, or right to left. (it is hard to tell the height but
it was low). The size was about three times bigger than the stars in the
