Underwater UFOs
This week's files cover: Mars water and dust devils. Underwater UFOs by
Bill Hamilton and painting by Roberto Castillo, and UFO propulsion. UFOs
were seen over Alabama, California, Florida, Idaho, Missouri, New Mexico,
North Carolina, Ohio, and Oklahoma. Many sightings were also reported in
Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
The purpose of these files is to report weekly the UFO eyewitness and
photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in
space. Many people claim it is impossible for UFOs to visit Earth, I ask
you only to keep an open mind and watch the evidence we accumulate each
week. These Files make the assumption that extraterrestrial intelligent
life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that of the over one hundred
UFOs reported each week many represent alien craft.
Mars is bright in the morning sky
Contrary to previous reports that the Mars will be as big as Earth in the
evening sky, Earth and Mars are converging for a close encounter this year
on October 30, 2005 at 69 million kilometers. To the unaided eye, Mars will
look like a bright red star, a pinprick of light, certainly not as wide as
the full Moon. The visual magnitude of Mars will be -2.3. Even inattentive
sky watchers will notice it, rising at sundown and soaring overhead at
midnight.
Water at Martian South Pole
Thanks to the European Space Agency's Mars Express, we now know that Mars
has vast fields of perennial water ice, stretching out from the south pole
of the Red Planet.
Early attempts at chemical analysis suggested only that the northern cap
could be composed of water ice, and the southern cap was thought to be
carbon dioxide ice. Recent space missions then suggested that the southern
ice cap, existing all year round, could be a mixture of water and carbon
dioxide. But only with Mars Express have scientists been able to confirm
directly for the first time that water ice is present at the South Pole
too.
Mars Express made observations with its OMEGA instrument to measure the
amounts of sunlight and heat reflected from the Martian polar region. When
planetary scientists analyzed the data, it clearly showed that, as well as
carbon dioxide ice, water ice was present too. Hundreds of square
kilometers of ` permafrost' surround the South Pole. Permafrost is water
ice, mixed into the soil of Mars, and frozen to the hardness of solid rock
by the low Martian temperatures. This is the reason why water ice has been
hidden from detection until now - because the soil with which it is mixed
cannot reflect light easily and so it appears dark.
However, OMEGA looked at the surface with infrared eyes and, being
sensitive to heat, clearly picked up the signature of water ice. The
discovery hints that perhaps there are much larger quantities of water ice
all over Mars than previously thought. The second part comprises steep
slopes known as `scarps' , made almost entirely of water ice, that fall
away from the polar cap to the surrounding plains. The third part was
unexpected and encompasses the vast permafrost fields.

Martian dust devils
Martian summer! Finally, the days are long, just like on dear old Earth.
And daytime highs rocket all the way up to a balmy 20øC (68øF) from the
summer nighttime low of -90øC (-130øF), meaning you and your fellow
astronauts can warm up your machinery earlier to get a good start on mining
operations.
But those warm daytime temperatures also bring alive the Martian dust
devils. These monster columns towering kilometers high and hundreds of
meters wide, 10 times larger than any tornado on Earth can whip sand and
dust around at 70 miles per hour dropped visibility to zero, scouring your
faceplate, driving dust into every fold and wrinkle of your spacesuit.
The sand in the lower part of a Martian dust devil would be the biggest
hazard," The atmospheric pressure on Mars is only 1 percent that at sea
level [on Earth], so you wouldn't feel much wind against you. But you'd
still be pinged by high-speed material. "Moreover, the moving dust and sand
may become electrically charged, to the point of "arcing to your spacesuit
or vehicle, and creating electromagnetic interference," adds William M.
Farrell of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

Underwater UFOs
Bill Hamilton writes `What secrets lurk in ocean depths? Are there alien
forms of intelligent life that occupy the vast volumes of water that
constitute our oceans, seas, and lakes?' The largest of our oceans, the
Pacific, covers 64,000,000 square miles and reaches a depth of 36,198 feet,
a depth that no ray of sunlight ever reaches. Could these depths hide alien
submarine bases?
Underwater UFOs have been sighted on many occasions lifting out of their
submerged depths and taking to the air. In an article entitled "UFOs - at
450 Fathoms," UFO Reporter Ed Hyde told of the sighting made by Dr. R. J.
Villela, a Brazilian scientist, who saw a UFO smash through an estimated 40
feet of ice at the South Pole and soar into the sky at amazing speed. Below

It was author and researcher Dr. Ivan T. Sanderson who suggested that
aliens could remain undetected by building their bases beneath the world's
oceans. Dr. Sanderson found that by actual count, over 50 percent of the
UFO sightings had occurred over, coming from, or plunging into or coming
out of water. This includes oceans, seas, lakes, and reservoirs. Of the
oceanic UFOs (some term them USOs or Unidentified Submersible Objects), one
was tracked by the U.S. Navy near Puerto Rico in 1963. Of course many of
these objects have been tracked over Puerto Rico since that time. On a
training maneuver, a sonar operator detected a sub aqueous object traveling
at over 150 knots! The technicians tracked this object for four days and it
maneuvered down to the incredible depth of 27,000 feet. Submarines of 1963
could not dive further than a fraction over a mile into the ocean deeps.
What kind of submersible could withstand the tremendous ocean pressures?
And how could it overcome the tremendous resistance of water moving at such
incredible speeds?

Alabama ball of light
I saw a ball of light on July 2, 2005, from 8:45 to 9 PM, coming from the
south, moving north at a commercial jets pace. Its altitude was around
15,000 feet as a best guess. There were no strobes or colored wing tip
markers. It was the size of a BB at arm's length and was just a white ball
of light. I called for my wife to come look, and we watched as it passed
just east of their position. As it did the thing increased speed to around
1000 mph and changed course toward the northeast. We watched it until the
trees blocked our view. I always call these "Flying Stars" as I have seen a
number of them over the past several years. Several times I have seen them
as a star, just setting there as stars do, and all of a sudden it starts
moving off. I actually managed to catch one on video a year or two ago. I
filmed three red lights in a triangle shape that passed close to a private
plane and flew over me.

California cylinder images
MODESTO - R. David Anderson writes, `I took this picture at dusk on July 7,
2005 at around 8:50 PM, when I noticed some kind of craft toward my left
that appeared a little above the tree that is in our front yard.'
I rapidly rotated my camera on its mount and took one picture. There were
several brilliant lights that surrounded this craft. It was impossible to
make out the shape of the craft because the lights were so brilliant. The
lights did not strobe or flash like a normal aircraft array would. Each
light glowed with a high intensity. To the unaided eye the lights all
seemed to merge into one, in the picture there appears to be several
lights.

California images -- I noticed that one of the pictures that you had last
week in Filer's Files looked very similar to a picture that I had taken
about a week ago. The white things in the air in the picture that I took
above my house, set against the rising sun, are drifting seeds that are
from cottonwood trees in the area. This may not be what was in the Canadian
picture, but it does appear to be identifiable. The cottonwood seeds are
white, and drift in the breeze like dandelion seeds but are twice the size.
SAN MARCOS -- I went outside for a smoke at 11:30 PM, on July 6, 2005, at a
couple hundred feet that reflected light from the streetlights. The
creature zipped directly over my neighbor's house and continued to move
side to side, in a space of fifty feet and then stopped. It had big "eyes"
and wing-like appendages, and was probably 2 to 3 feet in width. It
remained still and I could see wavering reflections from its "wings". They
were not beating like a bird's, but showed shimmering reflections from the
streetlights. I felt threatened, and said out loud, "I see you!" Then it
went from stationary to out of sight, right over my head in an instant.
Immediately, it zipped into view directly above my head, obviously studying
me! I could see really weird large and intensely dark "eyes". It seemed
surprised by my looking right at it and turned away and disappeared like a
shot. It had a birdlike shape, but was thicker. My impression was of
reflections of the streetlights on wing-like appendages, and big dark eyes.
It wasn't a bird, bat or any familiar nocturnal creature.

HESPERIA - Two metallic disks were seen at 1 PM, on June 28, 2005, above
the building where the witness works. The witness was able to get several
other workers to come outside to view the disks. Five were watching the two
disks for ten minutes, then they where joined by two other crafts. One was
wobbling like it was having trouble as the craft moved across the sky and
then came to a stop and stayed their for a few minutes. The one that looked
like it was having troubles descended towards the lower part of the
southwestern sky soon after they vanished.

MOUNT SHASTA - A couple saw a little silver saucer-shaped "scout ship"
skipping along across the top of the mountain. We were driving on I-5 and
both saw it. Another happened right in our front yard. That one was lights
in the night sky in the shape of a huge triangle which moved slowly from
south to north, on an upward angle towards the full moon. The object flew
in front of the moon (it was bigger than the full moon) and vanished, as if
someone simply turned off the lights with a switch.

Florida UFOs captured on film
HERNANDO BEACH -- These photos were taken last year in July by my sister
with her new HP Photosmart 850 digital camera. There were five photos taken
at the time and this was the last photo taken that showed five white
triangles. I would like to remain anonymous, thank you. Other photos can be

ANTANA -- An interesting report was submitted to NUFORC recently, together
with photographs. Four lights were observed moving slowly around 8:45 PM,
on June 29, 2005. A 13 year old boy ran into the house asking his Mother
for a camera as he saw something strange in the sky. About 90 seconds after
he went back outside, there was a tremendous boom. My son states that, he
saw four lights that appeared to be on a circular object moving very slowly
southward. The object disappeared at the same time of an extremely loud
boom. The object was observed for about two minutes.

Idaho close encounter with disk
BOISE -- This photo was taken July 1, 2005, from the Idaho Center Outdoor
Amphitheater.
The photographer states, "I was snapping a photo of the KQFC airplane
banner and a tethered blimp balloon and wanted to get them in the same
shot, so I took a several photos." This is the only image that had the UFO
object in question. This Blog was started because the photographer took

MERIDIAN - The male witness states, `I was approached by a strange flying
light while driving home on July 8, 2005. I was driving home to Meridian
with my aunt and her grand kids from Fruitland, Oregon, and we left getting
close to midnight. I took the Franklin exit off of Interstate 84 by
mistake. So I just headed north till I hit Cherry Lane Road that is a back
road to Meridian. There was no other traffic and all we could see was a lot
of open unused fields.
From out of nowhere a strange light approached the side of the car at
ground level and then flew right over us. It hardly made any sound. All I
could see was four bright white lights that were round in shape. It felt
like I was being watched for a split second. After it flew over the car it
dove down into the field next to us and its lights went out. I saw that it
didn't look anything like a plane. It looked more like a long wing or
saucer shaped. I saw one light come on after the bright ones went out. It
was a small blinking blue light. After it had swooped down in the field, I
saw it whip around and jump back up in to the sky. I felt lucky this thing
didn't crash into us and I just kept driving. I looked back in my rear view
mirror and it was just hovering above the trees.
The female witness states: We were going back to Meridian, Idaho and were
driving along west on Cherry Road. All of a sudden a strong light from out
of nowhere beamed on us. It was a bright white light. The object flew
right in front of us and passed us in to a field. A beaming strong light
shined on us as the object flew by. The lights went out and a blue flashing
light came on. The object stopped and turned around and went back up in the

Missouri 1956 photograph analyzed
KANSAS CITY -- Don Burleson PhD has enlarged and edged the 1956 photo sent
by Richard Buchli D.V.M. PhD. The photo was taken by a twelve year old boy
in 1956. His father was a prominent doctor in that town, and I have every
reason to believe his story.
