Ohio - Star-Shaped Object with a Series of Lights
ASHTABULA -- My father was watching TV in the living room, and all of a
sudden he shouted out for me to come quickly on January 21, 2005 at 7 PM.
We saw a star-like object about 5000 feet up. The object was coming in from
the northeast and heading southwest with a series of lights in the center
of it's star shaped feature. Again no noise! My father and I do not believe
it to be the space station because it was too low to the ground, and my
father said that he never has seen lights like that on conventional
aircraft.

Oregon - Huge Craft
PORTLAND - The witness was looking at a mysterious white light in the sky
on January 19, 2005. There were several aircraft on approach for PDX
international airport with their landing lights on. The sky was clear to
the south, a 1/2 moon was in the west lighting up the 3:30 AM sky. He
noticed a large object several miles south at a very high elevation
approaching very fast. It was faster and higher than the incoming jets. The
first thing I noticed was the speed and size of the object, then, I
realized there were no lights or strobes. It was grey in color as
illuminated from the moon. I called my friend, and he said, `Why are there
no lights? It was a huge unmarked grey flat bottom solid shape, at very
high altitude, extremely fast flying and totally silent straight line
flying object. It flew north in a straight line that if it remained on this
path it would fly directly over PDX. The tower must have seen this craft.

Tennessee - Silver Disc
BRISTOL -- Kim Shaffer MUFON SD reports, `A couple and his wife had just
arrived home at about 5 PM, on January 17, 2005, when he saw a large silver
disc with a flat bottom at about 70 degrees to his east. He described the
object as being highly polished with a smaller dome shape upon the main
body. The relative size to the witness was that of a basketball at arm's
length. He immediately alerted his wife who exited the car to also see the
same object moving away eastward and ascending. The entire sighting lasted
no longer than 20 seconds.

Washington - Lights In a Pyramid Pattern
PORT TOWNSEND - On January 18, 2005, the witnesses were about to cross the
Hood Canal Bridge near Bangor Military Base when they saw two airplanes
flying directly above one another-about 100 feet apart. They each had three
white lights in a pyramid pattern. They swooped around in a way that planes

Australia - A Bright Light Flying Very Fast
CABOOLTURE - The witness was out side having a smoke looking up at the
stars when he saw a bright light flying very fast across the sky. His mates
ask what I was looking at and I showed them the light on January 15, 2005
at 11 PM. It was too high to be a normal jet plane or a jumbo jet and too
fast to be a satellite. As it flew across the sky it suddenly disappeared.
The color of the light was a bright yellow color like a star there was only
1 of these objects and it was like a star flying across the night sky very
fast.

Brazilian Air Force Admits Investigation on UFOs
Carlos Mendes of the Brazilian UFO Magazine reports 27 years later, the UFO
phenomenon is still taboo to the Brazilian military. In the months of
October, November and December of 1977, and during the first half of 1978,
the Brazilian state of ParA=A1 was invaded by UFOs flying at few meters
above the trees and firing strong light beams at the people in the
MarajA=B3 Bay region. Many people were harmed by the phenomenon. The bright
objects were called: `vampire lights', `bugs', `the thing' and mainly
`chupa-chupa' (the sucker). Witnesses claimed the UFO pilots were beings
with the height of 1.20 or 1.30 meter. The people called it chupa-chupa
because of the weird scars the victims bore on their body. The light beam
used to leave tiny holes on the skin. Women had scars on their breasts.
They seemed to lose blood during the attack. Men and women complained of
giddiness, body numbing and headache after the attacks. The inhabitants of
the cities of Colares, Santo Antonio do TauA=A1, Mosqueiro and BaA=ADa do
Sol panicked on these days of bitter remembrance. The panic took over even
the state's capital, BelA=A9m, with a sequence of strange lights report and
chupa-chupa attacks in several quarters of the city, astonishing the
authorities.
In the end of the 70s, scientists from all over the world came to ParA=A1,
Brazil, but they all failed to explain the phenomenon. Twenty-seven years
later, documents from the Brazilian Air Force's secret service reveal that
these lights from space were something much more unsettling than we can
imagine. It is still a big mystery and a huge challenge to the science and
to the Air Force's experts. Ufologists, scientists and researchers from
Brazilian universities are collecting signatures to a petition that will be
delivered to the Brazilian president Lula da Silva. It requires the Air
Force to reveal the conclusions of the investigation on the chupa-chupa
case. The petition already has thousands of signatures: physicists,
biologists, journalists, officers and politicians among them. The campaign
is called UFOs: Freedom of Information Now [www.ufo.com.br/secrecy.php].
The military report, called Operation Saucer, has 2,000 pages, 500
photographs and some 16 hours of films. Part of this report came to the
public, through an interview with a brave Air Force officer, Captain
UyrangA=AA Hollanda who gave it to Brazilian UFO Magazine's editor
A. J. Gevaerd.
The Captain was the operation commander, sent by the government to this
secret operation to investigate. One farmer called Claudomira PaixA=A3o was
a victim. She lived in BaA=ADa do Sol and told that, in the night of
October 18th, 1977, she woke up when a strong light appeared through her
house's window. `The air got warmer. At first, the light was green, touched
my head and crossed my face. I woke up completely and the light became red.
I could see a creature, like a man, wearing something like a diver's
clothe. It had a device like a pistol. It aimed at me and the object
blinked three times, as if shooting at my breast, almost always on the same
place. It was hot and hurt me. I felt like there were needles piercing me.
I think they collected my blood. I was terrified. I couldn't even move my
legs. I was shocked.' What she said to the military was very important
because, for the first time, someone mentioned a being leaving the flying
object to extract blood. Almost all stories talk about lights causing
giddiness, weakness and `body shivering'. The only exception is a case,
also in BaA=ADa do Sol, and talking about the appearance of a space couple
that shot at a fisherman with a light-beam pistol, leaving him fainted for
several minutes.
Captain UyrangA=AA Hollanda wrote up an Operation Saucer report concerning
the alien aircraft flying over the region causing panic among the locals
and drove some people to despair. They used fireworks to warn the
neighborhood when chupa-chupa was coming. They often shot, with their
hunting rifles, at the UFOs, said the captain to the Brazilian UFO Magazine
[www.ufo.com.br]. `We always told them: don't shoot, don't shoot. One time
a strong light was aimed at a carpenter. The 55 year old man took his rifle
and shot at the flying saucer. The light surrounded him and he fell to the
ground, almost paralyzed. For 15 days the carpenter could hardly move. In
the first day the man didn't move at all. He could see, hear and speak but
it was very difficult for him to move.' Said the captain in an interview to
the Brazilian UFO Magazine, the only magazine interested in hearing his

Canada - UFOs
Airborne Eastern Canada -- On December 2, 2004, the witness took a West Jet
Boeing 767 from Vancouver to Toronto, then to Moncton, NB. About an hour
into the flight I asked the flight attended, if I could take some video out
the window, she said sure, ''No problem''. I could see the sun setting in
the background, a beautiful dark orange. I got as much video as I could
before it went totally dark. Later in reviewing the tape `I noticed
something black, on the top right hand corner of the screen and spotted a
visible, black object, hovering around. It comes closer to the plane, and
sticks out beside the window. To me it looks like a hockey puck, or cigar
shaped object. You can also notice a small plane, going down in the clouds.

Southern Scarborough, Ontario -- On Thursday, January 27, 2005, I was
facing south, cutting off the sun's direct rays with part of the building's
top dock door, making it just right to view the rich blue sky. I noticed a
single white object moving from north to south heading towards Lake
Ontario, five miles away. The first one went by at 100+ mph. The objects
moved in intervals, one at a time, about every 30-60 seconds. All were
moving in a straight south flight path, about 1000-1500 feet high. You only
had a window about 6-10 seconds to view each one passing, due to the direct
sun's rays to the south. I feel photographic evidence is better than a
thousand witnesses now. Many objects viewed in the photographs were not
seen with the naked eye, I saw one prominent object at a time, maybe two,
not dozens. The good news is, I'm going video next week, and we'll see how
that pans out!

Because of an injury that took him away from his job at a sawmill, Mr. Vike
started compiling UFO sightings in the `80s as a way to keep busy. It was
only in 2000 that the 52-year-old grandfather started his online project.
`Like so many thousands out there, I put up a couple of pictures and
started this little UFO site,' said the former planetarium volunteer. `And
a couple of people started sending me the odd report and I thought, `Hey,
this is pretty awesome.' And if people are good enough to send in reports,
I should do stuff about it.' Over the years, inside his home, in Houston,
B.C., a community of only 2,600 souls, Mr. Vikes kept track of UFO
sightings by sticking pins into a large map. And despite thousands of
reports, and hundreds of pins, he himself has been witness to only two or
three events, where the objects he saw could not be explained away. One
pattern that proved obvious is that there are more reports of strange
objects where there are more people to see it, he said.
Additionally, by recording where something was spotted, as well as when,
people can more readily see other patterns in UFO activity. Soon, his
project to study Canadian UFO sightings began taking off, even faster than
he expected, blossoming into not only a comprehensive Web site, but also
regular guest appearances on radio and a starring role in a Canadian
documentary. His site now receives about two to three million hits a month
and he expects to post about 300 Canadian sightings for 2004, including the
four he received from this province. While his online clearing house of UFO
stories started out as a hobby, and still is, it now has a strange life of
its own, so much so that guests to his town credit Mr. Vike's work as to
why they visited. Apparently, the more UFO and UFO-related stories he
posts, the more stories, more attention and more visitors he gets. He said
the other reason that people visit is because of the increasing number of
sightings there, putting his region in competition with UFO-friendly
Roswell, N.M. and Vulcan, Alta. Although after seeing the wild lands of
northern B.C., tourists, many of them Americans, now come to see the
landscape, he said. When asked if UFO sightings can be good for tourism,
Mr. Vike said that he was already asked by Houston's mayor to submit
materials for a tourism package.

India -- Red Blinking light
BANGALORE -- It was January 14, 2005 at 11 PM, when I spotted Saturn (that
was brightest during that time); I saw this red blinking light that was
traveling at a good speed from East to West. I couldn't see anything else
even against the dark background except for this red blinking light. It
made absolutely no sound. I called my wife and 6yr old daughter who both
saw this for about 1 minute when it went out of sight.
It covered the entire area from east to west in just around a minute and
made no sound even at that speed. Just for the records I am an electronics
engineer and am working as a Project Manager in an IT MNC. I am also an
amateur astronomer and a currently building my own 6" Newtonian reflector

COZUMEL -- While on a cruise with the NCL Spirit we saw the sun trying to
break through the clouds on January 18, 2005 at 9 PM. I took a picture with
the sun's rays coming down. When arriving home I put the digital disc in
the computer to see my pictures and I noticed a mushroom like spot in the
center of the picture. My camera is DXG 328 3.0 Mega Pixels. When I
enhanced the picture I could see a large mushroom shape. A strange light to
the far left and a tiny dark spot to the right. It sure looks like a UFO.
Planeta UFO reports an important sighting was recorded by professional
cameramen from Televisa in Mexico City on January 9, 2005, as a UFO flew
over the Plaza Mexico bullring between 5:45 and 6:00 pm. On that same day,
Mexican researcher Pedro Avila Rubio obtained impressive video evidence of
apparently the very same unidentified flying object at an altitude of 4000
meters over the municipality of Tlalnepantla two hours earlier.
The witness described it as a sphere with protuberances in its lower
side--making the analogy of a pea with corrugated edges. The strange flying
object flew slowly south in a clear sky. Avila heads the "Los Ojos de la
Ciudad" group, which is an organization specializing in UFO studies and

UK/ENGLAND - Four Red Lights in Line
CROWBOROUGH, EAST SUSSEX - The witness says, `Not quite sure what I saw but
at 4.45 AM on morning of 21st January my wife and I were woken to the usual
sound of foxes in my back garden.' Looking up in the clear sky we both
noticed 4 red lights in a perfect straight line moving across the sky,
going north to south, followed behind to the right at the same height and
speed two other red lights, none of the lights were flashing. There was no
noise as I would expect from planes.
