Hello,
...and again I'am writing abt. the ARACHNE-browser which can be used with
TSTHOST.First of all. You can download ARCH148B.EXE from www.naf.cz/arachne
The file is a SFX of 940K long. Version 1.48b is the latest version of 1999
You can use ARACHNE with at least a 386DX with 4MB and SVGA a mouse can be
used but also the cursor-keys.
After install of ARACHNE you first have to configure CORE.EXE. Go to
C:\ARACHNE and start CORE answer the questions and off you go...but...
CORE.EXE will NOT works within the SHELL of TSTHOST because of the 142K
left-over memory so you have to use SHROOM. SHROOM will swap TSTHOST from
memory to your harddisk
Alter in your START.BAT
TSTHOST /T /I253
into
SHROOM \TSTHOST\TSTHOST /T /I253
Then you can run CORE.EXE from the TSTHOST command-line and view HTML and
pictures, no animations.
After you done this you can follow the instructions in the original message
below.
Tnx to Fabrice, F4BJH for the correct adress of the ARACHNE site.
Have fun with viewing HTML+graphics with TSTHOST for DOS.
73 Henk.
p.s Have to go to sleep now, it's been a long day/night!
