Dear Radio Amateur Friends,
We will be celebrating " 23 April Childrenīs Day" with the
callsign YM3ATA between 17 April 1997 Thirsday UTC 00:00
and 27 April 1997 Sunday UTC 24:00. " 23 April The National
Sovereignty and Childrenīs Holiday" was given to Turkisch
Children as a present from the the founder of the Republic,
our gretest leader of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal ATATURK.
IAW authorization from the Izmir Radio Site Management, radio
amateurs, TA3YJ and TA3J, as multioperators will make calls
from TA3YJ amateur radio station in low power.
YM3ATA, amateur radio station, will be working between
17 April 1997 Thursday UTC 00:00 and 27 April 1997 Sunday
UTC 24:00, phono only, at FM 144 - 146 MHz, FM 430-440 MHz,
LSB 3,5 MHZ, LSB 7 MHz, USB 14 MHz, USB 21 MHz ve USB 28 MHz
depending on the frequency, time and weather conditions.
All DX stations will give the signal report and YM3ATA radio
amateur station will give the signal report and QSO number.
During this 11 day period, while making the QSO, " 23 April
National Sovereignty and Childerenīs Holiday", which is the
first and the only childrensīHoliday given by Mustafa Kemal
ATATURK, will be presented to all DX stations in the world.
A QSL card including Mustafa Kemal ATATURKīs picture and a
brief summary about the holiday will be sent.
We are hoping to be with our TA and DX radio amateur friends
on this special commemoration day.
