Hello to all TPK users,
This is the result of a test I did today on the TPK overwrite problem.
In MSG_PRIV.NUM File
Time 1st number 2nd number Comment.
0 466 58 TPK not running. 408 files in MSG_PRIV dir.
+2 min 466 58 TPK running, shell to DOS to check numbers
+4 min 466 58 Received new header, shell to DOS for numbers
+5 min 466 58 TPK shut down, check numbers in DOS.
+7 min 466 57 TPK restarted, shell to DOS for numbers (F3)
+10 min 466 57 Message downloaded, shell to DOS for numbers.
I now have two entries in the private message
list with the number 466! Still 408 files.
+12 min 466 57 TPK shut down, Numbers checked in DOS
+13 min 466 57 Restart TPK. Numbers still the same 2 X 466!!
The two entries for 466 show different titles but the same message (the
last downloaded one) comes up for each 466 number, as you would expect.
This problem is peculiar to the private message list only. The list for
BBS bulletins does not have this problem.
