Hi.
If you run TPK and you suffer from the message lists getting corrupted (or
you just want something to fix it should that happen), then I have just
completed a utility that will do it.
This program will:
* Handle MSG_PRIV and BBS lists.
* Regenerate a messasge list from the message files.
* Rewrite the .NUM file according to the new list.
* Delete the TXMSG.TPK file if rebuilding MSG_PRIV
* Edit the RXMSG.TPK file to remove pending mesasges
from the list that has just been rebuilt.
If you would like a copy you can request it from my 7+ server by sending a
message with /REQFIL BUILDLST.ZIP as the subject. Alternatively, if you
have email, you can ask for it to be sent to you, though this won't be
immediate, as I will wait for several requests and do them all at once).
The zip file with program and documentation is about 23K, and will go in
six 5K 7+ parts.
