Hi all,
I have been running tpk on a 486 laptop without any problems. I wanted to
move it to a pentium (2 I think) laptop - actually a Toshiba 200cds, and
transferred all the files across with the hope it would work. After
changing to the different com port, it then only half worked, in that the
computer sends data ok to the tnc (a tnc200- tiny 2 clone), and the tnc
initiates a connect to the bbs, but no received data comes up on the rx
screen and no confirmation of the connect comes up on the screen. So the
data is obviously getting out from the computer to the tnc but not coming
back to the computer.
Reconnecting the tnc to the old 486 laptop and everything fires up
normally.
I know some people have said that tpk doesn't like to run on fast
processors, but I thought the pentium 2 would not have been supersonic
speed for tpk.
I also tries to run tpk by going to Shutdown and restarting the computer in
DOS mode. The computer is running Windows 95, as it only has a fairly
small hd.
I hope someone out there can help with this little problem.
Thanks in advance.
Murray

Many computer programs say "Hit Any Key". No key is labelled "Any",
so don't go hitting the computer!!!!!
My P.G.P. public key is available at my home page (this is for files sent overseas to avoid any problems with countries which prohibit any reference to PGP.
