It is interesting to note the comments by OM John VK6JY on the subject of
the year 100 bug. I ran TPK 182 with a Baycom modem and also had no
problems once the PC date rollover was corrected. The only place that the
100 year showed up was in the listing by TPK when it initialised but
elsewhere such as in Stations Heard, Log and in the message editor all was
well. I have now upgraded to TPK 183d thinking that this would be complient
in all respects but even this latest version still shows date as year 100
in the initial listing. As OM John says it is purely cosmetic and causes no
problems in the programme but I am curious to know how TPK finds that
date and lists it without using the notation anywhere in the programme.
Most of the parameters in the initial listing are set in the file
Config.TPK but cannot see any syntax in there refering to date calculation.
Anyone got any ideas???
