G'day, and thank's for reading this plea for help,
I had a working copy of TPK with a baycom modem and aquired a MFJ1270b tnc
so I thought I would put it to good use,I reloaded TPK and recompiled it
to use the TNC,after a bit of fidling with bat files I came to the
conclusion TPK does not like kiss mode, but will quite happily drive the
TNC without any external help or buffering, now the problem,I let the
system run for a day and checked frequently, but it took a couple of hours
before it actually accessed the bull listing, but did so and downloaded the
files that are tagged in the config,I thought Aha alls well, but not so,the
following day it kept syncing with the BBS asking for the messages from
the last received the day before, but steadfastly refused to write the list
to disk and has remained that way since.
Everything else works ok,downloads, connects & chat sessions.
I have eliminated the TNC as a fault as it works quite happily in kiss
mode with TSTHOST.
I have also defragged the h/disk as there was a suggestion that it might
be full,it had 7M before and now has 8.9M free.
I checked the config.tpk against the baycom one and to my eyes there are
no differences, apart from the obvious ones due to differing models ie.182
183b
183c and yes I applied the updates to try and remedy the problem.

Any help will be gratefully received.
