To me this sound like John has found a command in TPK. Taking a good look
in the manual may verify this - HI!
In many programs, the MS Office for instance, the INSERT key is used to
switch between overtyping and inserting the new text. My XYL is for some
reason very often hit by this particular bug and makes some not very
ladylike comments if she does not notice the mistake immedately!!
