Hi there

If like me you have been having the tagging problem with all TPK 1.83
versions then this bull may be of help to you.

I have now tried all the release versions of TPK ver 1.83 upto and
including ver 1.83b. All give me the same problem in that they will not
tag the headers as specified in "config.tpk" for download from the BBS.

It must be said that I have used TPK for some years now without any problem
at all until the release of 1.83.

I have discovered on my system at least that TPK will not tag until I have
visited the BBS list page. After that it will happily tag anything and
everything it is asked by the config file. As an example if I boot TPK and
just leave it to work it will gather headers Ok but will not tag them for
download. If I them manually visit the BBS list page and then return to
the main screen everything it see's after this will be tagged and
downloaded Ok.

What I have done is to add the line "BR GB7MSF L" as the last line in my
config.tpk file. This then automatically puts TPK into the BBS list screen
on boot up and I simply need to press escape to get back to the main
screen. After this TPK ver 1.83b will tag as it should.

This is really only a temporary fix for me until I find out what the
problem really is, but as I have tried just about everything to resolve the
problem it is the only way around it for me at present.

I hope that this may be of help to you if you are suffering this problem as
I know quite a few of you out there are.

P.S. Dont forget to replace GB7MSF with callsign of your BBS in the line
added to config.tpk.
