I don't know what he and others have done to their old files but I have been
reading with interest all the things that appear to be going wrong with
v1.83 and having a good old laugh at it all ...

I have been running 1.83 for some 4 to 5 weeks now (1.82 for 18 months
before that) and at no time have I had any problems in any way with it. In
fact I'm really impressed with it. It seems to have all the bugs taken out
that 1.82 had except for one.

I don't suppose it really is a bug but I would suggest that the author, in
the NEXT version, gets rid of that silly requirement to 'Press any key'
after exiting from the DOS shell ...

It would be nice if the program user could change the French wording on the
opening screen to something reflecting his station details. I tried once
to do it as a surprise to a friend but the program rejected the change ...

Oh, one more thing, I run PcPAKRATT II for RTTY and PACTOR and use a PK232
for doing that as well as for TPK on the same computer and I can now change
programs without having to reset the TNC ... I couldn't do that under 1.82
for some reason although I use the same files now with both programs that I
used before . So I guess that's another plus for 1.83 ...
