If you compiled the axutils properly, there must be a "libax25.a".
You should copy this file to you /usr/lib, /usr/local/lib, or some other
library-path which MUST be in your /etc/ld.so.conf.
After this, you should call "ldconfig", so the ld-linker can find the
needed library.
BTW: these specific TNT problems should be discussed in the "tnt-bugs"
mailinglist. (To subscribe send a mail with the line "SUBSCRIBE tnt-bugs"
to "Majordomo@excelsior.kullen.rwth-aachen.de").
