Tried it!  He got "timeout talking to device" errors apparently!  Any
links to further KISS exiting progs?  I've googled for a solid hour and
still get same links!

Me neither, however, he's trying to leave it unplugged from power for the
day while at work to see if it mysteriously drops out of KISS of its own
accord!
