I'll bet I know what it is.
Hit the escape key. It will say something like,
* No Callsign *
* NO ID *
When you switch it on does it say something like;
WA8DED and a date and version of the software.
I think it might have WA8DED software in it.
When you switch it on do the STA and CON leds blink three times ?
If so it has a Kiss eprom installed.
If it is a Tiny2 MKII there will be a push switch on the back.
Change its in/out position and switch on.
That switch changes from TAPR to WA8DED firmware commands.
If it is not a MKII and there is no switch on the back you will need a
replacement eprom.
