Emergency Test (SET)
Saturday, October 13, 2007
St. Louis County ARES® will hold a demonstration
of Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness and
communications by operating field stations on
VHF/UHF FM voice and data, HF SSB/CW/SSTV on
Saturday, October 13, 2007.
The demonstration will take place at Queeny Park,
part of the St. Louis County Park system, at picnic
area #2 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Open to the public!
You do not need to be a member of St. Louis County
ARES®, or even be an amateur radio operator to
attend. Everyone is welcome!
Learn about Amateur Radio and ARES and our
commitment to public service communications in
times of disaster and/or public need. Queeny Park
is located in West St. Louis County and can be
reached by heading west on Manchester Road (from
I-270) to Weidman Road, make a right at Weidman
and following it north to the park entrance
(on the right). Then follow the park drive to
Picnic Area #2.
St. Louis County ARES® will operate both local
demonstration stations on site and HF
communications. We have created a special QSL
card to commemorate the event. If you would like
to QSL please send a standard 6ö by 9ö envelope
with SASE and your QSL to:
