Hi readers the town of AYR in Scotland is 800 yrs old this year, Our dear
friends at offcom deliberated for weeks on an GB800AYR on our applied for
call, then refused it, the call will be now have to be GB8AYR. The main
event will take place over the weekend of 20/22 May 2005 all bands SSB and
CW, and at other celebrations throughout the year The QSL card will be a
copy of one of the towns best features, and drafted onto the QSL card. The
card will also feature a generous write up on AYR's history. QSL cards are
via the Buro, and for Direct please, to MM0TFU Ian, 4 Stations will ops.
