There's' been a discussion on the British Vintage Wireless Forum about how
to fabricate plastic parts to replace broken and unobtainable plastic
items on for example, radios, TVs, cassette recorders, tape recorders and
so on.

There's a material known as "polymorph plastic", which has a low melting
point and can be moulded to any shape. It's not expensive, and has many
applications.

The low working temperature of 60 degrees Celsius makes it as easy to work
as Playdoh, yet when cooled to room temperature, it has similar properties
as nylon, useful for tidy little bit of odd jobs you need for your
projects (so long as it is not temperature sensitive).  Anyone interested
