Hi Tony and all,

Phillips isn't the only international corporation that has had worldwide
sources since long before CFLs were invented. Heh, North American
Phillips has one notable source of standard flourescent lamps, "made in
Mexico". Speaking of which they seem to be of normal quality, haven't
encountered a Chinese one yet but here's a twist, a few years ago I had a
Chinese lamp with Chinese writing on it besides standard nomenclature so
I knew what it was and it lasted just as long as any other. OK, I'm not a
testing laboratory but my experience tells me that most of their products
are of excellent quality while the lemons have given China a bad name.
Hey, when I was a kid the joke was "made in Japan" and so it goes.

BTW, you really need to go on line and collect lists of country codes,
state codes, provence codes, etc. since CH isn't China, it's Switzerland.
