Hi all interested in this subject.
When Barry first mentioned this some time ago I was having problems with
my remote control and his solution, putting a shaped piece of foil over
the offending button worked but the repair only lasted for a few weeks :-)
In my limited experience, when one button (the most used?) fails the
others are quick to follow.
A replacement "universal" remote control from the local helpful shop cost
only a few GBP, is still working fine and stopped all the hastle of making
repairs.
