Via that link I wandered into a 28-min video tour on youtube of the
Ameriton Linear Amp factory. It's not a slick professional production,
and it's a little bit ponderous to watch, but none the worse for that.

In these days of mass production it's uplifting to see a factory where
handmade small-batch production and innovation is alive and well. Most
of the components - transformers, valves etc, are manufactured in the US.

It must be a real challenge to research and design the gear, making sure
that it's idiot proof, then to source the components, manufacture the amps
at a price which will sell, then to market and distribute the gear, and at
the end of the day, to make a profit.

Well worth watching, even if - like me, you aren't in the market for a QRO
linear amp!
