That's actually quite a commonly-used tactic by people (including me) when
putting up an aerial or large array - Hang the co-ax down and terminate it
with end-caps... Once, we did it without installing the co-ax. It's amazing
what people will invent to make you take them down.

Yes, but for how long ? Snowballs may take time to melt, but melt they do.
In all seriousness - I would be keen to install solar panels onto our roof
(it's south-facing), and last night on the news there was an item about
"Sizewell C" - a potential new power plant on the Suffolk coast. They
showed the extensive array of wind turbines - some inland, some out at sea -
and, to be honest, I quite like the idea of the wind farms.
But hey, let's build nuclear power plants across the land like hotels on a
Monopoly board... Survival first, scenery later ;-)
