I have often heard the Morse Code "SMS" alert from somebody's
cellphone and my own Nokia has the option of playing it when a text
is received.  But I once heard some CW when walking past a group of
persons in a mall, and was so astonished that I managed to make out
only the word "people".  Thank you for the 'extended' explanation,
