Hello all machinists. (This is a resend. Please cancell previous one)

I am in the midst of a computer swap and need more time. I just saw a query
about 7mm metric threads.

A 7mm thread is a standard ISO metric (coarse). Years ago we had metric fine
and metric coarse, to cause confusion. Some one may have had a problem with
connectors and trying to replace a 'metric' threaded screw; that could have
been a mix of fine and coarse.

Now we have ISO standards, threads are mostly given in 'metric' which would
be the coarse variety.

A 7mm thread is designated M 7 and the thread pitch is 1mm.

Incidently, a 6mm thread M 6 also has a 1mm pitch.
